Mark those calendars because ‘Barbershop’ is back!

April 2016 will serve up the third instalment of the popular franchise, which now has a confirmed title of ‘Barbershop: The Next Cut.’ Check out the first official poster above, which also cements its release window.

Hip-Hop maven Nicki Minaj joins returning names such as Ice Cube, Cedric The Entertainer, and fellow femcee Eve as part of the cast.

The ‘Pink Print’ purveyor will play the sassy Draya – a stylist on the hair salon side of the shop. Ever theatrical, the rapper’s role forms part of a marked foray into the acting world – as  Minaj is also gearing up to star in an ABC sitcom.

As for Barbershop, all eyes will be on whether its third round, which is being produced by New Line, will significantly add to the box office total for the franchise (which, between its two released movies, has grossed $140 million worldwide).

When an album dominates in the way Adele‘s ’25’ is, it becomes a buffet of sorts when promotional performances roll around. So many great songs to choose from!

Thankfully, the Tottenham bred talent is blessing each stage she touches with something different.

This evening on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (which she appeared as part of a US “lock-out” deal with NBC), she and her band rocked out to one of our favorite cuts – ‘Water Under The Bridge.’

New music alert.

Still riding high on the wave that is Adele’s ‘Hello’ visual  is the singer/actor Mack Wilds who played the ‘He Won’t Go‘ vocalist’s love interest in the project.

So, keen to ensure he makes the most of the publicity he nabbed from the role the entertainer has unleashed the beast that is his brand new single ‘Love in the 90z‘, co-written and co-produced by the singer Elijah Blake and Amy Winehouse producer Salaam Remi.

The jam leads the way for Wilds’ second studio album which reportedly will  land at retail city in the first quarter of next year.

Janet Jackson has earned rave reviews for her ‘Unbreakable’ album and world tour – the latter of which wrapped its first leg yesterday in Japan.

The accolades to roll in though, because EBONY has just announced that the Queen of Pop is one of the select names set to be honored next month as part of the 2015 EBONY Power 100 list.

As earlier reported, Rihanna is set to hit the road.

The 27-year-old model is looking to put the past year of poorly received music behind her and finally accelerate with new album ‘ANTI’ – the world tour for which was announced today.

Sponsored by technology giant Samsung, the trek will play to audiences across the globe and clocks in at over 70 shows.

Tickets go on sale December 3rd at LiveNation.com and fresh reports suggest an album tie-in is likely to be explored so as to buffer sales.

Whatever the case, we just hope she’s leaving the stiff whines, pom pom pats, and gargling goat vocals in times of past. The tour kicks off in February, so she has ample time to right the many wrongs from past jaunts.

Ciara sprung a two-tier surprise on fans tonight.

The R&B chanteuse unveiled a duo of new songs; the first being the Dr. Luke produced ‘Oh Baby’ and the second a track titled ‘Special Edition.’

Writing to fans, the 30-year-old gushed:

Hey CSquad Here’s My Gift To You! #SpecialEdition and #OhBaby Happy Holidays! Love CC

It’s presently unknown whether the tracks are attached to the star’s ‘Jackie’ project or whether they’re literally as billed (see: gifts to supporters).

The sisterhood between Destiny’s Child divas Beyonce and Kelly Rowland is proving tight ten years after the group’s split.

Over the weekend, R&B leading ladies stepped out in style at the Cotto vs Alvarez boxing match at the Mandalay Bay Event Center in Las Vegas.

Snaps like this have us salivating for another Destiny’s Child run; the time certainly feels both ripe and right.
