As she continues to work on her next LP Jhene Aiko releases the latest visual she shot to support her latest offering ‘Souled Out.’

Its name ‘Lyin’ King.’

In an open letter penned for ‘The Fader’ she explained:

A mysterious, time traveling medicine woman has a prophetic vision of an early civilization in trouble.

The men have neglected the women and deprived them of love. By orders of their chief, the men of the tribe have taken away the women’s hearts and voices.

The women are powerless. The children are suffering.

The medicine woman travels for many days to reach the primitive village.

Upon her arrival, the medicine woman performs a miracle. She instantly restores the grace of the women of the tribe and gives them their voices back.

The men of this early tribe are not pleased.

With the men of the tribe’s attention, the medicine woman and the women of the tribe begin a ceremony in which they tell the story of how they are taking their voices back.

The chief is infuriated.

After wrapping up her ‘Aquarius’ album era last month, Alt-R&B talent Tinashe is speeding on with sophomore album ‘Joyride.’

And it’s first radio single, ‘Player,’ is officially here.

Per multiple reports, the track is being rolled out with two versions – a solo offering and one featuring RCA label-mate Chris Brown.

A somber black-and-white affair, the singer’s new video – ‘Music To Watch Boys To’ – arrives just as ‘High By the Beach’ slips out of the Hot 100.

Coming as a surprise to approximately no one, Canadian emcee Drake is still winning.  For once, however, he’s bringing someone else along for the ride – Future.

Indeed, as predicted here, the twosome’s surprise album ‘What a Time To Be Alive’ dashed the dreams of Lana Del Rey‘s tertiary release ‘Honeymoon’s bid for the top spot on this week’s Billboard 200.

And, while not exactly meeting the projected 500,000 first week sales listed by industry analysts last week, the set’s inaugural numbers gave them each their second chart-toppers of the year.

Alt-R&B songbird Tinashe is gearing up to hatch new single ‘Player.’

The Chris Brown assisted cut follows buzz track ‘Party Favors’ and is being billed as the first official radio single from the 22-year-old’s sophomore album ‘Joyride’ (due November).

With Friday serving as its launching date at retail, the RCA priori has offered up a brief teaser to build buzz.

Kelly Rowland‘s solo stock is sky-high. Just ask Pepsi, who’ve paired up with the R&B chanteuse for a unique new visual album.

Kelly Rowland has spent much of the year crafting her fifth solo album; a project she’s been building buzz around with titillating teasers and snippets.

And though hard at work on her own new material, the ‘Kisses Down Low’ cooer is also lending her talents to music from others – including Fuego and DJ Vice.
