‘Vogue’ magazine editor in chief Anna Wintour has acknowledged that there was once a time where “men in suits” were opposed to placing a black woman on the cover of the magazine.
Now, after the publication came under fire for likening LeBron James to King Kong when he became the first black man to rock the mag’s cover, Wintour has praised Beyonce and Naomi Campbell for breaking barriers that once stopped women of colour from rising to the top in fashion.
