From an underground rap group to a mainstream mainstay, the Black Eyed Peas have enjoyed an incredible run.

Following the 2011 announcement that they were taking a break, the assumption was that it was a politically correct means of disbanding.

After all, at the time, their then-new LP ‘The Beginning’ failed to match the success of its predecessor ‘The E.N.D’ and the overall climate for their product had cooled.

However, founding member will.i.am has dispelled any such doubt.

See what he told a fan when quizzed on the group’s future below…

As her husband goes into business with Ariana Grande‘s manager Scooter Braun, Mariah Carey made her way to the ‘Rockerfeller Center‘ in NYC recently to perform at the Christmas In Rockefeller Center event.

There, the ‘Elusive Chanteuse’ delivered a live rendition of her timeless classic ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You.’

Unfortunately, many were left disappointed when the singer served up a vocal performance of the “hell no” persuasion, surprising those who had hoped to receive a voice just as stellar as the one on the song’s official recording.

Why the negative attention the performance got is now bound to worsen?

Mariah Carey may not want a lot for Christmas, but we’re hoping Santa re-gifts her voice back.

The diva’s vocals (or lack-there of) have been at the centre of ample debate since she set sail on her new tour ‘The Elusive Chanteuse Show’ in October. And though her overall vocal climate improved as the trek treaded on, a new performance tonight has re-affirmed that her road to recovery is by no means a linear.

Mimi was tapped to serve as the “major” attraction at this evening’s Christmas In Rockefeller Center event. However, her performance of her self-penned holiday classic ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ was attention-grabbing for all the wrong reasons.

Tis the season of giving and Beyonce is in a generous mood.

If the last year has relayed anything, it’s that the ‘7/11’ songstress is conducting promotion for her self-titled visual album on her own terms. Out of the box best characterises her approach – a point illustrated in her plug for the new Platinum Edition of the LP on ‘The Real’.

For while not appearing on Fox’s freshman talker, the superstar gifted personalised copies of the beefed-up re-release to each of the shows hosts.

Peep the snap above of Tamar Braxton, Loni Love, Adrienne Bailon, Jeannie Mai, and Tamera Mowry posing with their box-sets.

Sharing the image on Instagram, Mowry added the caption:

@beyonce we are so grateful for our gifts!! We are all huge fans of yours!! Thanks for being a fan of the show! Mucho kisses

Sweet!

45,467 music lovers picked up Beyonce‘s latest body of work in the last week, showing their support for the extended version of her self-titled new album and handing it a Top Ten spot on this week’s ‘Billboard 200.’

Fortunately for the singer, track equivalent sales and streams pushed the album’s opening figure well over the 70,000 mark, with ‘Beyonce Stats‘ reporting that it opened with a commendable 71,000 units.

Unfortunately, not even the continued success of her latest single ‘Beg For It’ could help Iggy Azalea‘s EP ‘Reclassified’, which failed to crack the Top 50 after selling less than 13,000 units in its opening week.

Here’s hoping her second studio album doesn’t fare as poorly.
