Nicki Minaj‘s new studio album ‘The Pinkprint’ has found its way to the top this morning, soaring to iTunes #1 spot minutes after its release in the United States.

Marking her third studio album in four years, the project now sits atop a list which holds J. Cole, Taylor Swift, 5 Seconds of Summer and D’Angelo in its Top 5, set to be held there by an intense promo week that will include appearances on ‘The View’, ‘The Real‘, Bravo’s ‘Watch What Happens Live‘ and BET‘s ‘106 & Park.’

One year after Sam Bailey was crowned the winner of the ‘X Factor UK 2013‘, Pop Rock singer Ben Haenow has beaten Urban Pop singer Fleur East to win this year’s show, bagging himself a contract with Sony Music Entertainment.

His win sees him follow in the footsteps of previous winners Alexandra Burke, Leona Lewis and ‘Suicide’ performer James Arthur, all of whom went onto release chart-topping solo albums under the tutelage of ‘Syco’ exec Simon Cowell, also a judge on the hit series.

Earlier this week, viewers of ITV’s ‘X Factor UK’ learned former judge Tulisa Contostavlos was to stand in for judge Mel B, called on to replace the ‘Spice Girls’ performer after she had fallen ill.

Today, they learned she was to return to the series for its final. Unfortunately, if tweets published by the star’s sister are to be believed, the general public knew more about Mel’s disappearance than her family did, prompting her to slam the star’s husband Stephen Belafonte.

After turning Rita Ora and Iggy Azalea into household names, ‘Turn First Artists‘ CEO Sarah Stennett was honoured by the latter at yesterday’s ‘Women in Music’ event, launched by ‘Billboard.’

Presented with the ‘Chart-Topper’ award for her undeniable success on the ‘Billboard Hot 100’, Azalea revealed that Stennett stepped in and saved her career “when nobody would return my phone calls” when her plans to sign to ‘Interscope’ were put to a screeching halt by its CEO at the time, Jimmy Iovine.
