It has now risen to claim the #4 spot as it begins to rebuild itself with the new PR company MWW who also look after Netflix.

As we reported here, late Grammy-winning soulstress Amy Winehouse will see her troubled story told in a candid way via ‘Amy,’ a forthcoming tell-all documentary directed by Asif Kapadia.

Featuring “extensive unseen archive footage and previously unheard tracks” from the singer, the film – set to premiere in U.S. theaters on July 10th – will come nearly 4 years after her tragic death on July 23, 2011.

This week’s Hot 100 sees ‘See You Again’ – the latest hit from Wiz Khalifa – in the #1 spot again. Notching his fifth week at the tally’s perch, the emcee clocks the longest run at #1 by a rapper since Eminem reigned with his Rihanna-assisted number ‘Love the Way You Lie’ in 2010.

With no indication of slowing down anytime soon, the ‘Fast and the Furious’ soundtrack number leads a fairly stagnant, male dominated top 5 with The Weekend, Fetty Wap, and Bruno Mars helping fill out the rest of the space.

Super turnt up from the jump, the audience lapped up the high-octane show which saw the performer belt out hits such as ‘Body Party,’ ‘Promise,’ and ‘I Bet.’ She also served up showings of the sultry new numbers such as ‘Lullaby‘ and ‘Dance Like We’re Making Love’ and club cut ‘That’s How I’m Feeling.’

6 years may have separated her from 2008’s ‘The Declaration’ and her most recent album ‘Braveheart’ (2014), but Grammy-winning R&B singer Ashanti is now assuring fans that it won’t be another 6 years before they get new music.

Taking to FOX’s ‘Good Day NY’ this past weekend, the ‘Happy’ hitmaker was on hand spreading ‘Mother’s Day’ cheer by performing a song she wrote with R&B legend Babyface for her own mother/manager.  Before closing out her visit, the diva also confirmed she is working on a new album, with its lead single coming before the summer’s end!

Season 14 of ‘American Idol’ ended on a very high note, if we must say so ourselves.

As reported here, FOX assembled some of the biggest names in music to send off the penultimate season of its talent show juggernaut.  Tapping the likes of singers Chris Brown, Janelle Monae, and Jamie Foxx to lend live renditions of their latest hits, the show’s judges – Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez, and Harry Connick, Jr. – also got in on some of the action.
