Those were the words of popular ‘Empire’ star Jussie Smollett while chatting with talk show maven Ellen today.

Guesting on show to promote the FOX smash, the 31-year-old – who plays rising gay singer Jamal on the Lee Daniels drama – initially avoided the topic of his real-life sexuality. Instead, he requested to sit down with the host in a more intimate setting backstage to open up about his truth.

Two of music’s most gifted talents, Sam Smith and John Legend, have joined forces for an awesome cause.

Moments ago, a new Legend assisted version of ‘Lay Me Down’ – from Smith’s debut album ‘In The Lonely Hour’ – was released as the official Red Nose Day single in the UK.

Hosted every two years, the major fundraiser launches a nationwide drive for donations to help end poverty in Africa and picks a song to assist its cause. With all revenue from the single’s sales  going towards the campaign (which also raises money with sales of small red “noses”), the chosen track is often at the receiving end of major exposure. Put simply, it’s a great look for all involved.

Ariana Grande‘s voice may be able to soar to highs that defy gravity, however this weekend the singer found her feet (and on body) on the ground – in the most literal way.

While performing ‘Bang Bang’ on the Toronto stop of her ‘Honeymoon Avenue Tour’  the songbird crashed to the ground after tripping over her own shoe.

Set to hit stores globally on March 10th, her Madgesty’s latest TV spot in support of the LP was on Italian show, ‘Che tempo che fa.’

There, the diva gave a live rendition of the project’s newly confirmed second single ‘Ghosttown’, as well as album cut ‘Devil Pray.’

As ABC’s favourite writer Shonda Rhimes continues to craft and collect ideas for her forthcoming TV stories, the cast of her hit show ‘Scandal’ joined forces to attend Paleyfest hours ago.
