Queen Latifah, Usher, Jill Scott, Fantasia, and R&B legend Smokey Robinson are just a few of the names who’ve enlisted the highly sought after skills of singer/songwriter Theresa Bailey.

After building a successful career as a background singer, the Berklee College of Music graduate is ready to take center stage alongside similarly prized singer/songwriter Lisa Wright, a highly respected artist whose pen has lent a number of gospel gems from Colorado Mass Choir and Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir.

Their alliance – under the name AsOne – has already seen them make history as music history’s first ever interracial female duo.  And from the looks of things, it won’t be the last time we’ll see these talented ladies listed in the history books.

At 56, Madonna has 30 years of success under her belt, but the Pop queen hasn’t run out of shock-ability.

Tonight at Coachella, the singer locked lips with rap titan Drake in what appeared to be an unplanned moment.

The hilarious scene came after her Madgesty performed ‘Human Nature’ from her 1994 album ‘Bedtime Stories.’

After Beyonce’s mother, Tina Knowles, wed her new lover Richard Lawson in a private ceremony yesterday evening, the singer’s father has surprised fans by stepping out with Marlo Hampton.

Who, you might ask?

Marlo Hampton…of ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta.’ Snapped out and about in Houston, Texas, the pair shocked ‘Yonce supporters when the image above found its way online hours after snaps of his ex-wife’s second wedding were unveiled here.

Mariah Carey is back!

The dynamite diva is ready to is ready to blast off with her first project for new label Epic Records. 

This May, the songbird’s refreshed greatest hits collection,‘#1 To Infinity,’ will land in stores to celebrate the launch of her new Las Vegas show ‘#1’s.’ And to build buzz, today saw its official cover revealed.

Perhaps a testament to her new team, the cover reveal was branded as an “event” of sorts, with fans being called on to share the unveiling using the hashtag #RevealMariah.  It clearly worked, as the term was trending on Twitter at points during the day.

With Mimi’s Vegas residency due to kick off May 6th, we expect a tracklist, release date, and other info will be unleashed imminently.

‘Infinity’ succeeds 1998’s ‘#1’s,’ which as well as featuring the classics also spurned the hit ‘I Still Believe.’

Today, From The Vault journeys back to the early 90’s with the debut single from the best selling girl-group of all time. It’s TLC and their in-your-face anthem ‘Ain’t 2 Proud 2 Beg.’

Released at the end of 1991, ‘Beg’ was produced by the band’s most fervent collaborator, Mr Dallas Austin, and written by the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes.
An instructional anthem of sorts, the song urges women not to be afraid of being sexual beings, no matter how much society wants to villainize it. 20 years ago that was pretty envelope-pushing.

Lionel C. Martin directed the super-loud video which displays the band in all its crazy-glory. Cross-colors, baggy clothing, and most importantly what became the ladies signature: they can be seen wearing condoms on their clothes.
The confidence and passion that the trio exude make it hard to believe that it was their first ever music video.

At a time when we’re still mourning the demise of Danity Kane and when groups like Little Mix are – from our vantage point – doing their best yet not enough, we can’t help but feel nostalgic about the good ole days when girl-groups were ruling the charts.

With a crowd-funded album on the way and a bevy of “current” producers on board, it seems TLC is ready to give the world that blend of crazy, sexy and cool that made them a Pop Culture fixture for the ages.

For fans of the Grammy-nominated rapper Iggy Azalea 2011 marked the year she touched down on Pop’s scene.

However, for those unfamiliar with her work before the release of her hit single ‘Fancy’, her “arrival” didn’t occur until 2014, the year in which she released her hit-delivering album ‘The New Classic.’

Why this is problematic? The unearthing of footage of the rapper shot before she became a household name, captured long before she became the polished Pop princess she is today.

Now, after her free styling skills were called into question because of this video, footage from her performance at 2013’s ‘Splash’ festival has seen her rap skills rubbished once again.

Destiny’s Child diva LeToya Luckett has joined HBO to release the trailer for the new TV show ‘Ballers‘ this week, kicking off the promotional campaign for the project after the network enlisted her to star in it.

It follows the lives of retired football players as they learn to deal with life away from the field, calling on Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Omar Benson Miller to portray two of its lead characters.
