‘The Color Purple’ is reborn on the big screen this December.

Based on the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, which itself was an adaptation of Alice Walker’s 1982 Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, the latest incarnation of the story is a musical movie led by Fantasia.

The multi-hyphenate talent is joined by a stellar cast that includes Danielle Brooks, Taraji P. Henson, H.E.R, Halle Bailey, Colman Domingo, Corey Hawkins, Aunjanue Ellis, Jon Batiste, and Ciara.

With the countdown officially on for the release of Blitz Bazawule production, Warner Bros has unlocked an extended trailer for the eagerly awaited film – which tells the tale of sisters with an unshakeable bond.
