Britney Spears may have enjoyed seeing her name printed in the Billboard Hot 100’s top 10 last week for the first time in 10 years thanks to new song ‘Hold Me Closer’ (as we reported here), but those expecting to see her give the Elton John-led hit a live rendition on stage had their hopes dashed Sunday night (September 11) when she revealed she likely won’t ever perform again.

In the months that have passed since her highly publicized conservatorship was terminated, Britney has not shied away from using her social media platforms as a confessional – detailing the emotional and mental aftermath the 13-year court-ordered arrangement has had on her.
Most of said posts have taken aim at her family members – namely her parents and sister – who she asserts not only took advantage of her financially but worked to ensure the arrangement stayed in place solely for their benefits.
Doubling down on this belief, the GRAMMY winner took to Instagram Sunday night to post a lengthy message about how negatively the conservatorship impacted her past and will likely influence her future.
Alongside a picture of her bared bottom (as seen above), Spears – regarded as one of the most lauded stage performers in Pop music history – told her 42.1 million followers:
“I will be honest in the beginning 13 years of conservatorship like 8 videos I only like one – Work Bitch … the most offensive SO CALLED professional pictures on every tour. I mean they could have at least cheated and retouched them for me … just saying … 2 day shoots for new show in Vegas literally the worst ever … and me excited for the pictures for 5 months on tour … they never showed me any … I’d rather quit shit in my pool and shoot photos of myself in studios over working with the most offensive people in my life … I’m extremely short lady but of course my team always hired the tiniest girls to be on stage with me … like 8 girls talk about humiliation good god … and tours WITHOUT conservatorship I only had 4 girls or 2 on stage with me !!! JUST SAYING … you think I’m being silly you try being up there and feeling like that … anyways … anyways … I’m pretty traumatized for life and yes I’m pissed as fuck and no I won’t probably perform again just because I’m stubborn and I will make my point … so as we listen and hear👂… “MY MIND AND ME … let’s stay positive and focus on my awesome fans for their awesome picture’s 📷 they made themselves for making me feel pretty 🌹 … anyways all good though … in the mean time I will be SITTING on my HORSES 🐴!!!

It’s not really a crushing blow at all for me as a lifelong Britney fan. I just want her to be happy. Obviously I’d get my life if she came back with a new era but I have all the past ones to enjoy – her happiness is what matters.
She’s obviously far from happy and I doubt that not performing will help her find any peace or happiness. I just hope for her sake that she’s not heading firca breakdown but these posts sound like a loud cry for help.
