As earlier reported, last night saw Tamar Braxton serve up the premiere performance of her hot new single ‘Let Me Know (ft. Future)’.

The showing took place at the For Sisters Only event in Atlanta, Georgia, before an audience of thousands.

Ever outspoken, the 37-year-old R&B belle has made it routine on ‘Braxton Family Values’ to stress how much of a perfectionist she is.

Dawn Richard is ditching the drama of Danity Kane and again embracing the solo route.

As fans await the release of the disbanded trio’s final album ‘DK3’ (due October 28th), the group’s arguable nucleus Richard is touring China on her own.

We’re not entirely sure about the premise of the trek nor what is hoping to be achieved, but what is certain is that a clip of Dawn performing her own rendition of Beyonce’s ‘Run The World’ awaits after the jump…

Jessie J is ‘Burnin Up’ those air-miles as she jet sets across the globe promoting her new album ‘Sweet Talker’ (due October 14th).

Yet just before setting sail, the Brit-bred belter blessed her home soil with an acoustic special for Transmitter.

The busking themed mini-concert saw the 26-year-old perform cuts from the hotly anticipated project before a packed to capacity crowd in Camden, North London.

15 years ago this week, Christina Aguilera‘s smash hit single ‘Genie in a Bottle‘ flung itself to the top of the UK’s ‘Official Charts’, paving a way for a career that’s served more highs than it has lows since then.

So, in honour of the single’s British chart run, the ‘Charts’ have released a list of the singer’s highest selling jams in the market, revealing that while she hasn’t always been well received in the US, Christina has never had any trouble winning the support of the British general public.

Tamar Braxton kicked off the campaign for her new album this week with the arrival of the LP’s lead single ‘Let Me Know (ft. Future)’.

The silky mid-tempo has been scaling the iTunes charts – a trajectory that looks set to continue as the youngest of the Braxton clan gears up to hit the promo trail.

This weekend saw the star test out the live waters with the track when she performed it for the first time at the For Sisters Only 2014 event in Atlanta, Georgia.

This week From The Vault journeys back to the very end of 2003 when a unique quartet was releasing one of its biggest hits. Today’s pick is the in-your-face ‘Shut Up’ by The Black Eyed Peas.

After the Justin Timberlake-assisted ‘Where Is The Love’ put them on the mainstream map, the pressure was on for the BEP to keep up the good chart-work. Clearly the Peas knew exactly what they were doing and decided it was time to unleash their wild card: Fergie.

Indeed, after using her vocals on this very track, the band formally invited her to join them as the fourth member of the line-up.

The second single from their third album ‘Elephunk’, ‘Shut Up’ is the song that helped erase any vibes of “novelty act” attached to their name while snatching them a “credible Urban-Pop band” status. With the help of Ron Fair, will.i.am produced the track and wrote its lyrics alongside band members apl.de.ap and Taboo.

Although it wasn’t officially released in the US, the tune became a huge international success claiming the top spot of the charts in many countries such as Australia, Canada, France, Germany and Sweden, and peaked at #2 in the UK. Despite not charting Stateside, it was still included on the 15th edition of blockbuster compilation ‘Now That’s What I Call Music!’

The Malloys directed the Hip-Hopera themed video where the boy vs girl lyrical content is well represented with Fergie playing characters in tumultuous relationships with Will and Taboo while Apl is leading the orchestra. Not since the Fugees a few years prior had we seen such chemistry within a group and were we presented with visuals so strong that they very much helped define the identity of the band.

Blink 182’s Travis Barker as well as future Interscope label-mates Kimberly Wyatt and Carmit Bachar of the Pussycat Dolls all appear in the visual.

After kickstarting the mainstream EDM movement back in 2009, the fantastic four became a household name bagging themselves one of the biggest hit of all time with ‘I Gotta Feeling’. While we’re more than elated about the Fergalicious one’s return, we’re excited in advance to find out where the Peas will go next. With their mantra of ever artistically bridging the gaps, they are never afraid of pushing boundaries and taking risks. We already know that from a sonic, visual and promotional tip, when the time comes, we’re in for a treat.

As such, the budding diva is currently on a European press run in support of her single ‘Break Free’, a trek that brought her centre-stage on UK show ‘Alan Carr: Chattyman’ this week.

The latest series of The X Factor UK continued in fine form tonight. With the Live Show segment of the season in full swing, the hopefuls are tasked with pulling out all the stops to progress onto the next week. Judging the hopefuls are Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole, Mel B, and  Louis Walsh.

Beyonce has been called many things over the course of her career, however in this present era “unpredictable” seems to be most fitting.

Last December, the dynamite diva shocked the world and rocked the charts with the release of her self-titled visual album – which arrived as a surprise.

This Winter, it appears King B is looking to assert her royal presence once again with a re-issue of the multi-Platinum set.
