With ‘The Color Purple’ drawing nearer its release on Christmas Day (December 25), more material from the film’s star-studded soundtrack has been unlocked.

The latest is the Usher and H.E.R.-led anthem ‘Risk It All.’

A stirring piano-driven hymn, the soulful track sees the potent pair trade verses about risking it all for love, which, by design, mirrors the themes explored in the Blitz Bazawule-directed movie: risk, love, and liberation.

As reported, ‘The Color Purple’ soundtrack (due December 15) will feature the film’s stars Fantasia Barrino, Taraji P. Henson, Halle Bailey, and Ciara. Additional names in the mix (beyond Usher and H.E.R.) also include Ciara, Megan Thee Stallion, Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson, and more.
