Epic Records are in a celebratory mood.

The L.A Reid helmed label have enjoyed chart success this year with hits from the likes of Fifth Harmony, Meghan Trainor, and A Great Big World – whose ‘Say Something’ featuring Christina Aguilera has sold a whopping four million copies since its release in February.

To round the 2014 on a high, many of the imprint’s banner acts have come together for a new Holiday EP titled ‘I’ll Be Home For Christmas’.

Set for release on November 24th, the project will notably see Fifth Harmony cover a major Mariah Carey classic.

She may be yet to deliver a music video (or live performance) worthy of her star status, but that hasn’t stopped Nicki Minaj from becoming one of the world’s most celebrated entertainers, hailed by some as one third of a musical “Holy Trinity” completed by Beyonce and Rihanna.

Unfortunately, thanks to moves made by she and her creative team, the rapper finds herself looking more foolish than holy after they released a lyric video for her new single ‘Only‘, filling itto the brim with questionable imagery some critics claim was inspired by Nazi propaganda.

Worsened by the fact that the video was released on the 76th anniversary of Kristallnacht, the clip’s release has earned the chart-topper a new batch of critics all waiting to weigh in on her latest move, even after she claimed the visual had nothing to do with Nazism and apologised to those who believe it does.

The name of one of her new critics? The political commentator that is Glenn Beck

After a so-so start, Mariah Carey‘s new tour ‘The Elusive Chanteuse Show’ has been earning rave reviews during its recent Asian and current Australian stops.

And it appears the show isn’t just heavy on great vocal moments, it boasts sweet ones too.

Case in point, Mimi’s recent “performance” with her twin children, Monroe and Moroccan.

The 45-year-old star brought the 3-year-olds (who turn 4 next April) on stage in Auckland this week for a playful prelude to her performance of ‘Supernatural’.

The Wizard of Oz couldn’t deliver the amount of courage needed to be Alexandra Shipp at this very moment.

Aboard the highly anticipated Lifetime biopic ‘Aaliyah:  Princess of R&B,’ the Phoenix-bred beauty takes on the role of one of the genre’s most beloved entities while combatting an army of naysayers – including the ‘One In a Million’ singer’s own family.  Chronicling her rise to fame and the controversies that clouded some of it, the movie, helmed by ‘Queen of All Media’ Wendy Williams, is set to explore (like never before) the life of R&B’s fallen angel.

As the film is being greeted with mix reviews from fans and critics alike before its official arrival tonight at 8/7c, Shipp tells That Grape Juice how she’s handling the skeptics, the challenges that came with singing Aaliyah’s music, and so much more.

Sail on down below the jump to see more from our exclusive chat with Miss Shipp.  As ever, it’s a must read:

When?

This is the question routinely thrown into the air during discussion about Rihanna‘s eighth studio album.

Initially due last year, the set has been marred by multiple delays, which the 26-year-old recently blamed on being a perfectionist (the hilarity).

But according to a new report by DJ Skee, ol’ RiRi could be pulling a rouse and readying a roll-out much sooner than thought.
