Unlike other “Divas” franchises, the show will not focus on music and will instead spotlight actresses in the Urban Hollywood arena as they navigate their way through various trials and triumphs.

As reported, the ladies that have signed up to the series (which is produced by Kandi Burruss’ husband Todd Tucker) are Countess Vaughn (‘The Parkers’), Golden Brooks (‘Girlfriends’), Elise Neal (‘The Hughleys’), Lisa Wu Hartwell (‘The Real Housewives’), and Paula Jai (‘Hustle & Flow’).

As the age-old adage goes, sometimes the best meals take the longest to cook.

It’s a memo Luke James must be well-versed with.

Today ushers in the release of the R&B crooner’s long-awaited debut album – which he’s steadily been introducing to the masses since 2011.

The New Orleans native – who was handpicked by Beyonce to open on her ‘Mrs Carter Show’ tour – possess a voice and commitment to craft that we feel is best relay-able as “Modern Motown” – in that it’s rich, emotive, and resonating.

For us, each of these characteristics serve as the foundation of the LP which, upon release today, has been earning praise from critics the world over. And with deserving reason too – the album is stellar and, from our vantage point, could and should be in contention for Grammy’s come next year.

We have our copy, but are eager to know if you have yours yet?!

With Christina Aguilera reportedly readying a grittier, Hip-Hop skewed LP, one has to wonder whether the chart-topping chanteuse was scoping out new sounds at Drake and Lil Wayne‘s concert last night.

The diva – who gave birth to baby Summer Rain four weeks ago, was snapped enjoying the Los Angeles stop of the tour with fiance Matt Rutler, her choreographer Jeri Slaughter, and friends.

Randomness perhaps, but are we the only ones who’d love to see Xtina team up with Drakey? If indeed, she is leaning towards a more throwback sound, Drizzy is skillfully versatile and could lend  his talents to her newest offerings in a compelling way. Just thinking out aloud.
