Alas, if claims made by Mr. David Ritz are to be believed today, that version of her story was nothing more than a fluff piece, built to mask the mess his new book ‘RESPECT’ claims Ms. Franklin has attempted to conceal for decades.

Say what folk will about Ashanti, but the R&B star has quite the hustle factor.

Less than a year has passed since she released independent album ‘Braveheart’ and the singer is already prepping a new LP for release this year  – a Christmas project.

Today, she stopped by Hot 97 to dish on the set and chatted about a host of other topics including a planned joint tour with Ja Rule.
