Doja Cat at the Oscars 2025

Doja Cat has long been renowned for being one of music’s most versatile stars.

However, her showing at the Oscars 2025 left viewers all sorts of divided.

The multihyphenate performed as part of a multi-act tribute to the music from the James Bond film franchise and offered up a unique rendition of ‘Diamonds Are Forever’ by Shirley Bassey.

While applauded by some, others bemoaned Doja’s vocal performance.

And it’s a sentiment she echos herself.

When the credits rolled on the Oscars 2025, attention immediately turned to the after-parties.

And, as is customary, the Vanity Fair Oscar Afterparty was one of the hottest spots.

Held at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, the star-studded event magnetized some of Hollywood’s most notable names.

Names in attendance included winner Zoe Saldaña, Megan Thee Stallion, Kelly Rowland, Lizzo, Ciara, Colman Domingo, and more.

Beyonce Tributes Angie Stone

Beyonce is the latest major name to pay emotional tribute to Angie Stone following her tragic death.

As reported, the revered R&B veteran died in a shocking car accident on March 1.

An immediate outpouring of grief and reverence for Stone followed the news. And now Beyonce – with whom she starred in the 2003 movie ‘The Fighting Temptations’ – has joined the chorus of artists saluting the late songbird.

After much ado and high anticipation, the Conan O’Brien-hosted 97th annual Academy Awards aired live from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on March 2.

As always, That Grape Juice is providing you with a recap of the performances!

Despite ‘Wicked’ soaring into history books for becoming the highest-grossing musical film adaptation of a stageplay ever, the award season that followed its record-shattering run hasn’t been the kindest to its stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande.

Though nominated for some of the industry’s biggest honors including the BAFTAs, Golden Globes, Critics Choice, and Screen Actors Guild Awards, both divas left each ceremony emptyhanded – a series of losses that continued for Grande who missed out on the Best Supporting Actress trophy at the 2025 Academy Awards on Sunday night (March 2).

While hope was held out for Erivo, by the OSCARs’ end she too proved unsuccessful in breaking the unlucky losing streak.

Cynthia Erivo & Ariana Grande Perform at the Oscars 2025

Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande kicked off the Oscars 2025 with an electrifying salute to their film ‘Wicked.’

Long-teased and then eagerly anticipated, the showing saw Grande take to the stage first with a powerful rendition of ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow.’

Erivo hit the stage and launched into a seismic offering of ‘Home.’

Together, the duo delivered a dazzling duet of ‘Defying Gravity.’ And yes, its climatic finale saw Erivo hit “the” battle cry note.
