In today’s 360 era, artists are tasked with being larger than life and more than music. This a memo Pop force Lady GaGa has chewed and digested.

Indeed, beyond her songs, Mother Monster has built quite the brand portfolio – making a name for herself in the touring, technological, and beauty arenas. The latter is set to get a boost later this year when the star’s newest fragrance arrives.

Announced moments ago (packaged with the Steven Klein shot promo pic above), the scent has been christened ‘Eau De GaGa’ and marks the singer’s first foray into the unisex market.

Speaking on the perfume’s concept, the 28-year-old said:

“It’s inspired by the adventurous woman and the man who loves her.

I wanted it to be a timeless, elegant, luxurious bottle, something that would last forever. This is just EAU DE GAGA no.1

The base consists of sparkling water, lime, leather. 3 things I use everyday. A very clean expensive scent”

GaGa’s first fragrance effort, ‘The Fame’, has sold over 30 million bottles worldwide.

Four years after the first round of their Rap battle, Lil Kim’s feud with rapper Nicki Minaj finds itself reignited by the ‘How Many Licks’ performer this month, coming after she learned of the latter’s duet with Pop icon Beyonce.

Unfortunately for Kim, her attempts to provoke a response from Minaj has come to no avail, with the ‘Anaconda‘ belle’s focus dedicated to pushing her third studio album ‘The Pink Print.’

So, given the current state of Kim’s career and Minaj’s seemingly unstoppable Hip Hop reign, we ask…

Should she respond?

And another one.

Lil Kim has awoken for her musical slumber and seems intent on re-claiming her spot as Hip-Hop’s premier Queen Bee.

The quest, however, has largely been a mucky mess, with her various attempts at attacking nemesis Nicki Minaj falling as flat as the interest in her career.

Hoping to reverse the backlash, which has seen her trending on Twitter all week (for all the wrong reasons), the pint-sized femcee has unwrapped a freestyle remix of Bobby Shmurda’s ‘Hot N*gga’.

Frank Ocean is embracing a blue hue.

The soulful chanteur unveiled a new look, which sees him sport electric blue hair.

Renown for his “simple” image, the change has some speculating as to whether he’s teasing the follow-up to his 2012 debut ‘Channel Orange’. ‘Channel Blue’, perhaps? Who knows.

What is certain, though, is that Ocean is working on the set. Hopefully it swims into stores sooner rather than later.

With Jermaine Durpi officially out as Mariah Carey‘s manager, it’s back to the day job of hitmaking for the still-in-demand producer.

On Instagram today, JD shared a shot of him working with R&B songbird Monica on the follow-up to her 2012 album ‘New Life’.

While some may scoff, we’re actually very excited. Because JD routinely does well by Ms. Brown. For example, remember this gem…

As a musical wordsmith, Drake is no stranger to clever metaphors. Yet, the rapper is taking a literal approach to defending himself against claims that he depicted ex Rihanna as a devil.

The Canadian MC sent the net into a frenzy during his OVO Fest in Toronto. For, while performing the song ‘Days In The East’, the screen behind him juxtaposed images of the Bajan beauty and a multitude of 6’s – prompting many to speculate whether he was branding Rih in a satanic context (see: historical use of three 6’s).

Hoping to clear the air (and rumors), Drizzy took to Twitter to offer his two cents. See what he had to say below…

For Chris Brown, ‘X’ finally marks the spot.

Following a series delays, the singer’s sixth studio album arrives on September 16th.

Preceded by singles such as ‘Fine China’, ‘Loyal’, and ‘Don’t Think They Know (ft. Aaliyah)’ – all of which span a release period of more than a year, today saw the set’s official cover unveiled.

Previously a promotional shot, C. Breezy confirmed the snap above to be the definitive artwork for the LP.

The visuals are a win, as have been the singles (thus far). Therefore,  we hope the album as a body of work is too.
