OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network) kicks off its 2023 ‘OWN for the Holidays’ slate of holiday films with ‘A Christmas Serenade.’

Starring Skye Townsend and B.J. Britt, the festive flick tells the story of a musician who returns to his hometown after many years and lands a gig as the minister of music at his home church.  The job leads to a reignited feud with a former nemesis (the pastor’s daughter) that surprisingly turns into a holiday romance.

Nearly a month after first acquainting fans with the Sexyy Red and B.G.-assisted ‘Yonce Freestyle,‘ rapper Kevin Gates drops the cut’s official music video on what was originally supposed to be the December 1 release date of the song’s parent album – ‘The Ceremony.’

“Breadwinner, elevator in my garage / My exotic bulldogs, exotic cars / Level two, push the button, I levitated / The doors open to Beyonce concert, I’m beyond turnt,” Gates raps on his opening verse of the ProdByJM, EJ Grimes, and Juko-produced cut.

The London premiere of Beyonce‘s ‘Renaissance: A Film By Beyonce’ was a star-studded affair and one of the most notable names in the building was Taylor Swift.

After the ‘Alien Superstar’ singer made a surprise appearance at Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ premiere, the latter returned the love with a surprise showing at the sparkly UK launch of the hotly anticipated movie.

Dua Lipa‘s ‘Houdini‘ magically appeared on last week’s Hot 100 at #11, coming as the week’s highest debut among female acts and the overall highest opening the GRAMMY winner’s enjoyed to date.

However, the influx of holiday songs as well as new tracks from Drake‘s surprise drop (‘For All the Dogs: Scary Hours Edition‘) made ‘Houdini’ disappear from the chart’s topmost quadrant this week.

In a bid to lift the Kevin Parker-produced bop from its #33 post on the current Hot 100, Lipa’s lifted an extended version.

After dropping jaws with the Justin Timberlake-assisted remix to the smash hit, ‘3D,’ former BTS star Jung Kook has repeated the feat by calling on R&B icon Usher to assist on a revamp of ‘Standing Next To You.’

Released Friday (December 1), the updated version of the ‘Golden‘ single arrives less than a month after the original incarnation of ‘Standing’ – like ‘3D’ before it – soared to #5 on the Hot 100.

“The universe approves when you and I dance / So elegant and heaven sent these vibes yeah / It’s way way too early to leave,” Ush croons on the blazing track.

In what comes as a major surprise, Beyonce has dropped a new song to celebrate the December 1 release of the ‘Renaissance‘ concert film.

Titled ‘My House,’ the tune – which plays in the movie’s credits – comes her first taste of new music since she unleashed the Madonna-assisted remix to the chart-topping hit, ‘Break My Soul,‘ the ‘Wetter’ mix of ‘Cuff It,’ and the Kendrick Lamar-assisted revamp of ‘America Has a Problem‘ (all found aboard the ‘Renaissance‘ album).
