Chris Brown‘s headline-grabbing antics have consequences for projects beyond his own. Just ask Pop divas Danity Kane.

Dawn, Shannon, Audrea, and Aubrey had been hard at work in rehearsals for their first show as a group in over five years – a show co-headlined with Brown, set to take place tonight in New York.

However, despite the singer being released from prison last night, promoters for the 92.3 Now Scream extravaganza have announced that the event has been cancelled.

Subsequently, the ladies – who had been working with renown choreographer Luam for the show, released a video statement to their fans.

As girl groups go, they don’t get much bigger than Destiny’s Child and TLC.

Indeed, both acts have created success narratives that are ground-breaking, trail-blazing. Success narratives that not only serve as a definitive blueprint, but narratives that are forever etched in Pop culture history.

It’s fitting, then, that The Saturdays – the UK’s current biggest female group, also recognise this – paying homage to the girl power pioneers during a recent performance on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge.

Led by front-woman Vanessa White, the ladies navigated through Drake’s recent hit ‘Hold On, We’re Going Home’ before launching into a mash-up of TLC’s ‘No Scrubs’ and DC’s ‘Survivor’.

After a two-week hiatus, The X Factor USA returns tonight on FOX.

So as to signal its comeback, this season’s most popular judge Kelly Rowland stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote.

The new addition, who joined the this year’s series alongside Latin Pop star Paulina Rubio, hilariously detailed her experiences working on the talent-search, how the US contestants differ to the UK (Rowland judged the 2011 UK series), and more.

One look at the charts, and it’s clear that – despite a strong startJustin Timberlake‘s latest album ‘The 20/20 Experience (2 of 2)’ isn’t enjoying the blockbuster success of its predecessor.

Still, it’s fair to say the set has done its job in helping the Pop titan launch a global tour off its back — something his laxed approach promo has us suspecting was the plan all along. After all, it’s a given that top-tier acts such as JT make most coins on the road.

In any case, in a bid to keep his chart buzz lingering , the former NSync’er unwrapped the cinematic video for the project’s second single ‘TKO’ moments ago.

With the song having been released digitally more than a month ago, we’ll file this one under ‘Better Late Than Never’.

‘Work B*tch’ beauty Britney Spears works her comedic muscle in a spoof of Michael Jackson‘s legendary hit ‘Thriller’.  The tune and its accompanying music video, a Halloween favorite since its 1983 debut, inspired the normally stiff songstress to show off a bit of her fun side in a short BBC Radio 1 ‘Breakfast Show’ skit.

Featuring host Nick Grimshaw, the duo recite the now iconic Vincent Price ‘Thriller’ voice over in a cute and clever showing titled ‘It’s Britney, Witch’.  See it above:

Move over ‘American Horror Story’!  For, if reports are to be believed, CBS is readying a reboot of the show featuring four of America’s favorite witches – the ‘Charmed’ sisters.

Read more below (via Deadline):

CBS has given a script order to Charmed, a reimaging of the original series centered around four sisters who discover their destiny – to battle against the forces of evil using their witchcraft. Created by Constance M. Burge and produced by Spelling TV, Charmed aired on the WB for eight seasons, concluding just before the network’s merger with UPN to form the CW in 2006. It has done well in off-network syndication on TNT and streaming on Netflix.”

To say she did that would be a grave understatement.  Tamar Braxton is still in hot promotion of her sophomore album ‘Love & War’ – a feat that sees her supporting fellow R&B crooner John Legend on a Stateside tour.

Her recent stop in NYC saw her drop by VH1’s studios to share a groovy, slowed down version of her summertime hit ‘The One’.  See it in full above:

*Bonus*:  While there the songstress also weighed in on the Julianne Hough “black face” costume controversy.  See that below:
