Many of her fellow artists are speaking out after the debut of the new documentary ‘The New York Times Presents: The Framing of Britney Spears.’

After the Princess of Pop entered into conservatorship in 2008, her father, Jamie Spears, gained full control of her financial and personal affairs. Over the year, the ‘Circus’ singer has been in a legal battle in order to gain control once more.

This week brought with it the 35th anniversary of Janet Jackson‘s breakthrough album, ‘Control.’

Released February 4, 1986, the history-making project – best known for its singles ‘Pleasure Principle,’ ‘When I Think of You,’ ‘Let’s Wait Awhile,’ ‘Nasty,’ ‘What Have You Done For Me Lately,’ and title track – is lodged in record books for becoming the first LP by a female artist to log six Hot 100 top 40 singles over the span of its popularity.

The launching pad from which Jackson would be propelled into Pop superstardom as one of the genre’s preeminent female acts, it would go on to garner critical and commercial acclaim by selling over 10 million copies worldwide and collecting a slew of international awards along the way (including Billboard Music Awards, Soul Train Awards, American Music Awards, and a GRAMMY).

And if this week’s commemorative celebration of the opus is any indication, it’s far from finished receiving its flowers.

As we posted here, the 27-year-old drunkenly referred to his friend as a ‘p*ssy a** n***a’ in a visual obtained by TMZ.  Once the story went viral, Wallen – despite currently sitting at #1 on the Billboard 200 with his album ‘Dangerous’ – was ‘indefinitely suspended’ from his label home due to the controversy.

What’s more, Country music radio and television stations followed suit alongside previous endorsers who pulled their support.

With TV, radio, and even some streaming outlets snatched from their grasps, some of the star’s fans have turned to iTunes to get their Morgan fix.
