Pharrell Williams reteams with Daft Punk to launch another dance classic today…a feel good jam named ‘Lose Yourself to Dance’.

Joined by seasoned hit maker Nile Rodgers, the chart toppers serve a video that bares a number of similiarites to their earlier smash ‘Get Lucky‘ and a sound that’s sure to see it fare just as well.

Like most award shows this year, millions the world over tuned in to the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards last night with hope of seeing chart titan Beyonce. Indeed, though no announcement had been made, it didn’t stop legions of the singer’s BeyHive from anticipating something…anything…from the star – especially as she’s a) clearly gearing up to release new material and b) lives where the show was held — New York.

As the night would have it, King B did not grace the stage. She was, however, spotted with hubby Jay-Z at an official VMA after-party.

Are we slightly jarred that the 31-year-old didn’t even attend? Naturally, as the show served up little in the way of “spectacle” beyond Lady GaGa‘s stellar showing. That said, there is an air of hilarity in how much Mrs Carter consistently has everyone on the edge of their seat. Let’s just hope she doesn’t keep folk waiting so long that they fall off it.

The uptempo number serves as the third single to be lifted from the ladies fourth studio album, following on from chart-topper ‘What About Us’ and the so-so received ‘Gentleman’.

Eminem is back!

Moments ago, the Hip-Hop titan sprung a surprise on the music industry, announcing his new album ‘Marshall Mathers LP 2’ – the sequel to the 2000 original, which to-date has sold over 10-million copies in the US (Diamond-certified) and 20 million units worldwide.

By no means a detail-lite announcement, the 40-year old also revealed the project’s release date, as well as the title and radio premiere of its lead single.

As musical events go, Lady GaGa‘s ‘ARTPOP’ is easily the year’s most anticipated. Indeed, fans and critics alike await the ‘Applause’ led set with ample excitement – much of which is due to the secrecy the project has been clothed with.

Yet, with the release of the LP drawing nearer, Mother Monster has begun to share more morsels of information about the project – namely the its first feature artist.
