Be it for the good, bad, ugly, or downright shocking, 2022 was full of monumentally memorable moments!

Now, as the year draws to a close, That Grape Juice is reflecting on the occasions that rocked – and to some degree maybe even reshaped – the Urban and Pop cultural landscape as we know it.

Next, we toast to ‘Super Freaky Girl’ – the history-making Hot 100 #1 hit of Rap Queen Nicki Minaj.

Self-proclaimed ‘Queen of da Souf’ Latto may be paving her own lane in the music realm thanks to big hits like ‘Big Energy’ and ‘It’s Givin,’ but she’s never shied away from givin’ props to the Rap Queens who came before her – especially those from the South.

Though historically noted for her reverence of Foxy Brown, Lil Kim, and Nicki Minaj (despite their recent fallout), Latto (born Alyssa Stephens) has gone on record praising Southern female Rap icon Trina – who also featured on the remix of the 23-year-old’s breakout hit ‘B*tch from da Souf’ – and also Memphis legends La Chat and Gangsta Boo.

The latter found herself the topic of Stephens’ conversation once more, this time during the ‘Wheelie‘ star’s recent pit stop in Vancouver as supporting act on the critically acclaimed, Lizzo-led ‘Special Tour.’

The latter performer, already penciled in the organization’s record books for being the first female rapper attached to three Diamond-certified singles overall, made history again when she saw the status of ‘Like’ and ‘Yellow’ updated Tuesday (October 11) – just in time for her 30th birthday.

To help trumpet the LP’s arrival, the rapper (born Jonathan Kirk) unveiled a cinematic music video about marital infidelity for its housed cut, the JetsonMade, Pooh Beatz, and Los-produced ‘Socks.’

Drama has followed B2K for almost two decades and it’s not letting up anytime soon.

The latest spat between the 00s pin-ups ignited in the wake of Omarion‘s awkward VERZUZ spar with Mario – and the comical response his bandmates gave.

A war of words ensued, which included Omarion branding Lil Fizz, J-Boog, and Raz B as his “background dancers.” Fresh fire erupted when the feuding members were featured in the ‘Ice Box’ singer’s new docu-series, ‘Omega: The Gift and the Curse.’ Allegedly without their permission.

Most recently, B2K appeared on the Drink Champs platform and poured out their take on the group’s latest split and the foundation of their issues with Omarion. Fizz, in particular, lifted the lid on his controversial relationship with O’s ex and baby mother, Apryl Jones.

Now, 37-year-old O is weighing in.

Find out what he had to say after the jump…
