Many will remember Brit singer Gamu for her controversial stint on The X Factor UK‘s 2010 series.

Indeed, who could forget the outrage generated by her sensational axing or the death threats levelled at judge Cheryl Cole for actioning it?! Three years later, we’re sure Gamu will be hoping the answer is “not many”. For, now 21, the Zimbabwe born singer has debuted her first single ‘Shake The Room’ and its accompanying video.

Lifted from her debut album ‘A Love Like This’, the song and parent LP is described as blending the best of the 1960’s Soul with the contemporary kick of today.

Later snapped arriving at Club Bloc, the Pop princess was spotted sans her ‘Fortune’ pal Chris Brown who she enjoyed Grammy night with at the Supper Club, on Sunday night.

Sporting a Grecian inspired fit, fans can see more of the serial chart topper when she launches her ‘Diamonds World Tour‘ on March 8th.

In the seven years that have passed since Charlene Keys released her last studio album, her stage name Tweet has come to represent something entirely different to the mainstream music listener.

Perhaps recognising this, the Soulful songbird is making a beeline for the grown and sexy with her first body of work since 2005 – ‘Simply Tweet’.

A four-track EP, the set  (due out digitally on February 26th) serves as a re-introduction of sorts ahead of  full-length album later this year.

He may not have performed at last Sunday’s Grammy Awards, but with the release of his new video ‘Started From The Bottom‘ dropping on the same night, Drake ensured his name stayed hot on everyone’s lips as the star studded night went on.

The best part about this is though, that while the video’s launch comes as part of the push for this third studio album ‘Nothing Was The Same‘, it’s arrival has gone some way in rekindling interest in his 2011 LP, ‘Take Care‘.

With a career spanning 16 years, it’s safe to say Destiny’s Child has seen their fair share of Pop upstarts come and go all too quickly. However, more so than any of the newbies they’ve watched rise from beneath their shadows comes ‘Pon De Replay‘ belle Rihanna, signed and launched by Beyonce‘s very own husband, Jay Z in 2005.

Indeed, so fast has Rihanna’s ascent to the top been, that it’s hard to believe that she once paid tribute to the multi-platinum trio in her launch year, joining Teairra Mari and Amerie to honor them at the 2005 ‘World Music Awards‘.

Taking a brief break from recording her third studio album, Alexandra Burke made an emotionally charged appearance on BBC’s ‘From The Heart’.

Joined by her mother Melissa Bell, the singer relayed how kidney disease (which affects Bell) has impacted their family. The tear-jerking interview was followed by a rousing performance of  ‘Can’t Give Up Now’ – a song made popular by Mary Mary. Jazz maestro Jools Holland backed Burke together with a full band.

After watching Britney Spears take to the single to the top of many a Pop chart, Will.I.Am enlists Diddy, Hit Boy, Lil Wayne and Waka to push his ‘Scream & Shout’ jam to similar heights on an Urban tip.

The thing about it is- that while the production on the reworked version is a certified A+, verses from from Waka and Wayne are without a doubt a little embarrassing, sullying what would have otherwise been a great remix.
