Ariana Grande is no stranger to nabbing headlines for flexing her funny bone, and her hilarious statements at the 2025 Palm Springs International Film Festival on Friday (January 3) were no different.

On hand to accept her first major industry trophy of the year (the Rising Star Award) for her performance as “Glinda” in the blockbuster ‘Wicked,’ Grande – an entertainment vet with nearly 20 years experience in the game – made a quip about being deemed a “rising star.”

“I’ve been performing since I was a child, so I never thought at the age of 31 I would be hearing the words ‘rising star’ again, so I wanted to start by thanking my two friends: Botox and Juvederm,” she said.  “I thought I’d be hearing ‘slightly withering star’ or ‘drooping star’ by now…”

When quizzed backstage about her “friends,” Ariana got a little serious as she went into detail about her journey with using prescription drugs for cosmetic enhancement.

As Lil Baby‘s new album, ‘WHAM,’ dominates the digital music landscape and seems poised to capture next week’s championship spot on the Billboard 200, the Atlanta rapper is capitalizing on the momentum by releasing the official music video for its housed cut ‘F U 2x.’

“Claim to be a player, but I fu*cked your wife,” he relays in the chorus. “You ain’t nothin’ to a real hitter, f*ck your life up… Middle fingers in the air, f*ck ya twice.”

Before that Shaq Simmons-directed cut dropped, the Southern hitmaker (born Dominique Jones) also shined the spotlight on the ‘WHAM’ tune ‘Streets Colder’ by delivering its first live performance to 4 Shooters Only’s Web series ‘From the Block.’

The Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor in the United States, was awarded to 19 individuals by President Joe Biden on Saturday (January 4).

“These nineteen individuals are great leaders who have made America and the world a better place. They are great leaders because they are good people who have made extraordinary contributions to their country and the world,” Biden relayed in an official statement.

Presented to persons who have “made exemplary contributions to the prosperity, values, or security of the United States, world peace, or other significant societal, public or private endeavors,” big names like former Senator, Secretary of State, and presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, U2 frontman Bono, legendary actors Denzel Washington and Michael J. Fox, Bill Nye the Science Guy, Anna Wintour, and NBA icon Earvin “Magic” Johnson were among this year’s honorees.
