Forbes magazine certainly stirred its fair share of controversy between fans of Nicki Minaj and Iggy Azalea. For, after crowning Azalea rap’s new female frontrunner, Minaj’s faithful “Barbs and Ken Barbs” came to her defense via a host of unforgiving tweets to the mag. So much so, they opted to retitle the article.
When quizzed on the matter via a phoned ‘Breakfast Club’ interview days later, the ‘Pills N Potions’ performer politely laughed off claims of her absence. Now, as news has surfaced that the Aussie rap sensation’s single ‘Fancy’ has risen to the #2 spot on the Hot 100, she is extending praises.
“I think that congratulations is in order. Her single is doing really, really well and I think that’s a good thing,” she said of Iggy’s hit “Fancy.”
Minaj made it clear, however, that the Grand Hustle rapstress’ success came at a price:
