Once billed as a an act your mother could love, Justin Bieber continues his calculated transition into somewhat of a sex symbol on the cover of Rolling Stone‘s latest issue.

It’s a contrived narrative that’s been played out many a time before. Yet, it’s a narrative we can’t blame Team Bieber for employing – given the difficulties many child stars face when they pander to Disney-esque audience for longer than they “should”.

At 18, Bieber is a mini-industry – with many hinging their annual pay-cheque’s on his success. Hence, ensuring that success continues means more covers like this, more crotch grabs during performances, and more use of apparently “cool” words such as “swaggie”.

Bieber’s latest album ‘Believe’ is in stores now.

Peep this snap off ‘Odd Future‘s Tyler The Creator and Rap deity Drake, taken last night at Frank Ocean‘s LA ‘Channel Orange’ show last night.

Caught backstage, the lively pair showed their support to the ‘I Miss You’ crooner whose debut album has moved over 200,000 units in the space of two weeks- spawning the well received jam ‘Bad Religion’.

Drake’s sighting at the show comes two days after it emerged his latest tour, ‘Club Paradise’ has pulled a sweet $42 million worldwide since its launch in February

This, landing his show in the top 5 of Pollstar’s Worldwide Tour Mid-Year tally.

Perhaps since 2007, no other Hip Hop name has been hotter than that of Nicki Minaj‘s.

Righting a number of wrongs made by an underground MC before her, Minaj has risen to become the fastest rising Rapper in her field- by way of mainstream notoriety and commercial prowess.

However, perhaps in response to her ‘Pop star’ packaging, the last few years have seen the Rapper labeled disingenuous- fake- contrived following the success of 5x Platinum single ‘Super Bass‘.

Now,  the ‘Conceited’ Remy Ma has spoken out in her defense.

Power couple Beyonce & Jay-Z last shared shots of their gorgeous daughter Blue Ivy back in February. Fast forward six months and the youngster is still a stunner.

A new shot has emerged (from who it remains unclear) showing the 16 time Grammy winner spending quality mother and daughter time with the oh so cute seven month old.

Beyonce recently returned to the stage with a sell-out residency at the Revel resort in New Jersey.

Soul-filled singer Frank Ocean switched Los Angeles on to ‘Channel Orange’ last night during his hotly anticipated tour stop in the California.

The ‘Thinking Bout You’ crooner thrilled the adorning audience at the Wiltern with a bevy of favourites from the critically acclaimed set, including ‘Bad Religion’. Also tackled was Beyonce‘s ‘I Miss You’, which the 24 year old penned for the superstar’s ‘4’ LP.

Get your first look at TV One’s highly anticipated new reality series ‘R&B Divas’.  Highlighting the day ins-and-outs of 5 noted female R&B vocalists – Faith Evans, Keke Wyatt, Syleena Johnson, Nicci Gilbert, and Monifah Carter – the show is set to land on screens August 20th.

Once also including ‘Oops Oh My’ maestra Tweet, the aforementioned five are set to shed light on their time away from the limelight as well as show the behind the scenes action of their family lives, recording sessions, and more..  With LPs also reported to be in the works for each artist, here’s hoping that the show acts as a well deserved springboard to put these ladies back on charts where they belong:
