Under the wing of designer Alexander Wang, tonight marks her official introduction to the US media, courtesy of Nicki Minaj.

For, if reports are to believed, Banks was asked to perform at the event when Minaj was forced to pull out- for reasons yet to be confirmed.

Last night, The Voice UK said goodbye to Ruth Ann St Luce, the 18 year old act hoping to win the £100,000 contract with Universal Republic.

Mentored by ‘Do It Like A Dude’ belle Jessie J, Ruth’s time on the show came to an end following a shaky performance on Saturday night, picked up by all four of the show’s coaches.

Now, according to The Daily Mail, she has blamed the show’s editing for her departure.

The absence of such would unquestionably place a void on modern Pop music.  As emphasized by a previous precis, while charts lay devoid of a diva syndicate, the offerings of The Supremes, Destiny’s Child, and TLC are just a burning reminder of a time when girls really did run the world.

Garnering a collective “aww” from onlookers,  ‘Superwoman’ Alicia Keys was joined by husband Swiss Beatz and son Egypt at the New York Knicks game this weekend.  Definitely keeping his eye on the ball, the 19-month-old didn’t seem too bothered by photographers as they snapped his photo.

The snaps surface as anticipation builds for what Keys is cooking up in the studio.  With a Bon Iver-collaboration ready for launch and the singer’s own material reportedly due in September, it’s safe to say we’ll be seeing much of the songstress in the coming months.  Until then, we’ll jam on the former hits anxiously awaiting the new new…
