Soulful crooner John Legend turns up the heat in the steamy video for new single ‘Tonight (Best You Ever Had)’.

Serving as a release from the ‘Think Like A Man’ soundtrack, Legend has made no secret of fact that the Ludacris assisted cut would also dub as the first single from his forthcoming album – should it perform well.

Its TAJ directed visual should go some way in aiding that cause, especially as it sees the usually coy crooner flash some flesh. Something we’re sure his legion of fans will not be complaining about.

As has been hyped all week, despite less than a month passing since the untimely death of pop megastar Whitney Houston, members of her family had an emotional, tell all with talkshow queen Oprah.  Airing tonight via O’s own Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), Houston’s brother, his wife, and Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina chatted with Winfrey about the loss, their lives since, etc.

With fans still reeling from Diddy‘s dismantling of Danity Kane four years ago, it’s taken two of the group’s members that exact amount of time to repair their “damaged” friendship.

Indeed, the age old adage of timing healing all wounds has rung true for Aubrey O’Day and Dawn Richard.

For after not speaking since the Pop outfit’s dramatic demise, the pair have this week reunited.

Eddie Murphy‘s comeback.

It’s something we’ve hoped and waited for. Yet, recent years have seen the star’s career sink into quite the coma.

Indeed, a string of commercial catastrophes such as ‘Norbit’ have rendered the former comedian a punchline himself; a status sadly strengthened by his latest flop ‘A Thousand Words’.

The comedy, which actually shot back in 2008 (where it perhaps should have stayed), could only manage a measly $1.92 million at 1,890 Stateside theatres on its opening day. A figure which will likely spell an even grimmer first weekend total.

Starring Kerry Washington, the film also made Rotten Tomatoes history by becoming one of only four movies to score “0” since the outlet began telling it like it is back in 1999.  {Source}

—————————–

If there’s one common theme in Murphy’s box office bombs, it’s that his roles of late are largely of the childish, comedy by the numbers persuasion. Surely a return to the raciness that defined his hey-day is what the career Dr ordered?

Barbz Rejoice!

Moments after becoming the highest charting Female Rapper on the UK Official Charts, we are pleased to announce Nicki Minaj has scored yet another feat.

Her single ‘Starships’ is #1 in Scotland, making her the first Female Rapper to have the same single in the Top 5 of both charts simultaneously.

Well done Nicki!

Congratulations are most certainly in order for Nicki Minaj today.

Because, almost as if by accident, she has broken a record not even her label would have seen coming.

It’s been 3 months since soul-filled star Fantasia gave birth to her son Dallas Xavier.

And while the 26 year old made a speedy return to the public eye, she hasn’t been as hasty sharing shots of her tot with the public.

The same, however, can’t be said for the child’s reported father, Antwaun Cook, who can seen posing it up with his offspring above.

Leaving Ms. Barrino’s private life to…Ms. Barrino, we’ll just say that we’re still thirsty for that ‘Back To Me’ follow-up. Bring it on already!

Alexandra Burke saw in the release of her new single ‘Elephant’ with an electifying set at London’s ‘G-A-Y’.

The Eric Morillo produced cut is living up to its hit potential on iTunes merely hours after release.

Indeed, as at writing, the track and the 3-track EP (which includes the Breathless Mix Burke performed on The Splash)  occupy the #6 spots on the iTunes singles and album charts respectively. Combined with pre-orders, these collectively put Burke in reaching distance of the top spot on the Official UK Singles Chart next week. Needless to say, we’re rooting for her!
