The high-octane track serves as the first offering from the Brazilian bombshell since inking a lucrative new record deal with Republic andUniversal Music Latin Entertainment.
A flavorsome slice of her hometown sound, Anitta says of the hard-hitting cut:
“All the music I’ve been making for the past year is music I’m so proud of. It’s both incredibly Brazilian and intentionally international – I made sure it sounds like me in every fiber of the music. Brazilian funk is my roots. It’s what I was born and raised doing. It’s home to me. I made this new music with the intention of showing everyone those roots, what’s most important to me, and leading with ‘Funk Rave’ does exactly that.”

The commercial nonperformance of Coi Leray‘s 2022 debut album, ‘Trendsetter,’ didn’t act as a deterrent for the femcee pushing full speed ahead to its eponymous successor – ‘COI‘ (released June 23).
A 15-track affair that counts notable names like David Guetta, Saucy Santana, Skillibeng, Giggs, and Lola Brooke among its high-profile features, ‘COI’ charges to chart battle on the wings of Leray’s gargantuan top 10 hit, ‘Players,’ as well as the tune’s warmly received follow-ups ‘Bops’ and ‘My Body.’
“I feel like even self-titling it ‘COI,’ I want people to understand everything that is just about me,” the rising rapstress told Apple Music’s Ebro in a recent interview. “I feel like I have to tap every subject. I go through so much [and] I always write through experience.”

It’s been over a year-and-a-half since Muni Long‘s breakthrough single, ‘Hrs & Hrs,’ clocked into the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100 – marking a career milestone for the singer-songwriter who had spent over a decade trying to land her own placement in the hitlist’s upper rankings.
Going on to be one of the 2022’s biggest hits, ‘Hrs’ – found aboard Long’s 2021 EP ‘Public Displays of Affection‘ – the tune’s staying power on the chart was not only attributed to its popularity on streaming and digital download platforms but also to multiple remixes including a Spanish version.
Now, after enjoying an over 20-week stay on multiple Billboard R&B charts, Muni is looking to have ‘Hrs’ extend its time on the tallies by enlisting R&B superstar Usher for a revamp.
