As has been making rounds across the net, producer/casting director John “Woody” Woodbeck has set the Twitterverse ablaze with mention of music icons Madonna and Janet Jackson honoring pop princess Britney Spears at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards.  The producer said:

If this lineup is legit (which I’m told it is) the tribute to Britney at the VMAs is gonna be insanely EPIC!! Wow! Wow! Wow!

Jennifer Hudson was spotted alongside son David Otunga, Jr. and sister Julia at the first annual Julian D. King Gift Foundation Hatch Day celebration.  The inaugural event was held in honor of the singer’s slain nephew who, along with other members of her family, were tragically murdered in late 2008.

As excitement grows for the 28th annual MTV Video Music Awards, the good folks over at MTV have caused a fan frenzy by initiating performance polls to honor the ceremony’s best performances of all time.  Though the winners of the polls will be announced leading into the actual ceremony on August 28th at 9pm, unlike the new ‘Best Video With a Message’ category, this will be a one-time deal.

MTV has excited many-a-Little Monster with the announcement of the premiere date for Lady Gaga‘s ‘You & I’ visual.  Lifted from her hotly-selling ‘Born This Way’ LP, and like the smash hit ‘Judas’ before it, the clip will see the ‘Bad Romance’ singer man the director’s seat.

And, as if the previously released images haven’t built enough suspense, Gaga is giving fans another incentive to tune into the premiere:

Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, and Miguel were just a few of the stars were out last night for the taping of the UNCF’s ‘An Evening With the Stars’.  As reported here, though taped last night in Pasadena, California, the event will air on BET September 25th with performances from Jill Scott, Patti Labelle, Marsha Ambrosius, and more.

Nicki Minaj may now currently hold the record for being Hip Hop’s highest earning female and her debut LP may be one the fastest selling albums to be released by an artist in the last few years, but there are still many who believe she is not eligible for the title of the current Queen Of Hip Hop.
