Legendary diva Whitney Houston turned 48 yesterday!

The ‘I Look To You’ singer spent the day with her nearest and dearest, including daughter Bobbi Kristina who shared the shot above with followers on Twitter.

In other Houston, shooting for ‘Waiting To Exhale’ sequel ‘Getting To Happy’ is set to commence within the next few months.

It’s a genre whose artists oft have no shame in flaunting how much they are or aren’t  making, and if  Forbes’ list of   Hip Hop’s Top 20 Earners is anything to by, money is most certainly the name of many a Rap performer’s game.

Peep Pop belter Jessie J playing dress-up in the video for her latest UK single ‘Who’s Laughing Now’. The track serves as the fourth release to be lifted from the 23 year old’s Platinum debut ‘Who You Are’.

Though successful, I can’t but feel that her campaign this side of the pond has been marred by random single choices – namely this and its predecessor ‘Nobody’s Perfect’. Especially when there are more chart-worthy songs begging for release (see: ‘Abracadabra’, ‘L.O.V.E’, and the LP’s epic title track). Still, the clip looks good. Keep an eye out for it!

Wonder how Rihanna hits those Mariah notes? Based on these new pictures, it’s a one-two puff on a cigar.

The Voice was snapped smoking away on the set of J. Cole‘s video ‘Can’t Get Enough’ in her homeland of Barbados. Ms. Fenty, 23, is on a brief-break from her ‘LOUD Tour’ – which has been a moderate success since setting sail in June.

Joining the pair on set was fellow vocal force – and friend of That Grape Juice – Trey Songz.

A staple on the British live circuit, soulful crooner Daley has amassed quite the following since emerging a few short years ago.

The Mancunian, who sports a quirky quiff, has drawn most attention for his butter-smooth voice; a voice which boast a richness and rawness not seen this side of the Atlantic for some time.

One of 2011’s most celebrated lyricist, Frank Ocean, lands his first official solo magazine cover in the form of The Fader’s Fall Fashion Issue. Ocean’s claim to fame is this year’s imaginative ‘nostalgia, ULTRA’. The singer’s first single, ‘Novacane’, has peaked at No. 17 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop songs chart and cracked Billboard Hot 100. The in demand artist, also makes not one, but two appearances on one of the most anticipated releases this year, Jay-Z & Kanye West’s ‘Watch The Throne’. Check out an excerpt from the full feature below.

When he was nine, Frank Ocean’s godfather subscribed him to Robb Report, a magazine for the ultra-rich. Less interested in fiduciary smarts, it’s a catalog of conspicuous consumption, highlighting tropical vacations, invaluable antiques and, as Ocean came to know, really expensive cars. Though he comes from a middle class family, he obsessively read the magazine’s classified ads, fixating on exorbitantly priced used Bentleys and Maybachs. “I would just fall in love with all their cars. That was the start.” Ocean, whowas born Christopher Breaux (and goes by Lonny to friends), downscaled his material desires, and when he was 13, began going door-to-door, detailing cars for cash. “I would bring all my supplies. Literally, it was like a movie, I had a wagon, those long red wagons, like a Radio Flyer-type wagon, and I used to buy my own soaps.”

Many a celeb use Twitter as a means of maintaining a close relationship with fans. Yet, when them hits and cheques dry up, some find the wrong kind of solace in the social networking platform. Indeed, spending the hours they could have used resurrecting their careers spouting rubbish.

Case, point, example, Omarion, who got into a spot of bother while tweeting up a storm last night.
