90’s R&B girl group SWV has experienced a minimal pop culture revival of sorts, thanks to Chris Brown’s current single ‘She Ain’t You’, which plays off of the lady’s Michael Jackson-sampling hit ‘Right Here/Human Nature’. After hopping on the remix, the Sisters With Voices have now announced an upcoming album and reality show.

Grammy award winner Jill Scott is Billboard Magazine’s latest cover girl. The ‘So In Love With You’ singer released her fourth studio album, Light of The Sun, this past Tuesday. The LP is on track for a No. 1 debut atop the Billboard 200. The set is predicted to sale as many as 125,000 copies in it’s first week. Check out the magazine cover story over at a Billboard.

Pop star Rihanna is to face legal action by a photographer who claims she knowingly copied concepts from his work and implemented them in her visual for the controversial ‘S&M‘ single.

This is now the second time the ‘We Ride’ performer has been threatened to be taken to court for this very video.

Pop eccentric Lady GaGa, again, lived up to her billing as she attended a press conference in Tokyo, Japan today. Held at Billboard LIVE, the singer was in town to support the MTV Video Music Aid Japan – using her ‘celebrity’ status “remind the world that Japan is safe” and urged tourists to return.

As many know, the country suffered a catastrophic earthquake on March 11th. More pics below…

Alicia Keys wants to make you a cover star. The singer, who is slated to perform at the BET Awards on Sunday, June 26th, posted a Youtube clip requesting fan covers of your favorite songs of hers. The request comes in conjunction with the June 28th release of Keys’ 10th anniversary commemorative edition of her smash debut album ‘Songs In A Minor’.

With the BET Awards literally just a few days away, the anticipation for Urban music’s biggest night is reaching a feverish pitch.  And, with performances from the likes of Beyonce, Chris Brown, Kelly Rowland, Trey Songz, Mary J. Blige, and so on, the show will definitely be the talk of many a viewer for weeks to come.
