Hailing from London, the pint-sized powerhouse has packed a wealth of experience into a relatively short period of time. Having sung back up for Jessie J, opened for Fantasia, and gained a strong underground buzz while doing so, Erivo recently signed on for the UK touring version of ‘Sister Act – The Musical‘. Kicking off in September, the show will see Erivo star as Doloris – a role made famous by Whoopi Goldberg and more recently by Patina Miller.

Janet Jackson‘s ‘Number Ones: Up Close & Personal Tour’ pulled into London last night. Fittingly held at the iconic Royal Albert Hall, That Grape Juice was in the house at the sold-out event – and so were our good friends, Pop divas JLS.

Legend indeed. Sitting third row, we most certainly got up, close, and personal with Ms. Jackson and what an experience it was. For, she still has ‘it’ in abundance, which served as a potent reminder to self for why we put such a high premium on the acts of today. If Janet is still killing it on stage at 45, there really isn’t any excuse.
