Babyface has broken his silence after being shockingly dropped from Anita Baker’s current US tour.
As reported, the legendary music maestro was axed from the Queen of Quiet Storm’s latest trek following an arguably one-way feud.
In a series of tweets shared over several days, Baker took aim at Babyface’s fans – who she asserts were “cyber bullying” her and erroneously blaming her for the prolific hitmaker being omitted from a select date on the tour.
Despite Babyface maintaining a dignified silence, it didn’t stop Baker from directly blasting him too.
Reacting to all of the developments, the 64-year-old (born Kenny Edmonds) has issued a statement.
Sweet love is the last thing Queen of Quiet Storm Anita Baker had on her mind when she took to Twitter Tuesday (June 13) to announce she booted Babyface from their hotly-selling North American tour.
Shawn Mendes has returned after a lengthy break to release his new song, ‘What The Hell Are We Dying For?’
The song covers an array of topics such as the current state of the environment as well as a broken heard.
Across the song, he sings:
“Smoke in the air / The city’s burning down / I wanna speak out but I don’t make a sound/ Locked in my mind/ You’re all I think about/ I wanna save us / But I don’t know how”
During his announcement of the song, Mendes revealed that it was written last minute and then shared shortly after.
