Fans and critics agree: Sexyy Red is easily one of the biggest music newcomers of 2023.

Beyond preparing to deliver second child this year, a very pregnant Red (born Janae Nierah Wherry) took to Billboard’s digital magazine to talk about what else she plans to deliver musically in 2024, her cultural impact, and disdain for being pigeonholed into “p**sy rap.”

Via his first official release since 2022’s Donda 2,’ rapper-mogul Kanye West is ready to tackle Billboard charts again with the Ty Dolla $ign and Bump J-assisted ‘Vultures.’

Co-produced by Chords, West, and $ign, the new bop sees Yeezy raise eyebrows with some direct reflections on some of the controversial statements he made last year about Jewish people.

“How I’m anti-Semitic? / I just f-cked a Jewish b-tch / I just f-cked Scooter’s b-tch and we ran up like Olympics,” the 46-year-old rapped.

And while its original (leaked) incarnation reportedly featured fellow chart-topping rapper Lil Durk, the official version of ‘Vultures’ that hit digital streaming outlets does not list him as a contributor.

Khia may be known for spitting some of Rap history’s raciest bars, but that doesn’t mean she enjoys being compared to other female rappers who have done the same.

Having made no secret of her distaste for some of the genre’s newer stars, the 46-year-old has slammed the likes of Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Saweetie, Latto, and others over the years for various reasons.

And while veterans like Lil Kim, Da Brat, Trina, and Nicki Minaj have long felt royal tongue lashings from the self-proclaimed Queen of the South’s criticisms across her streaming platforms, she recently added relative newcomers Sukihana and Sexyy Red to the list of recipients.
