Ahead of confirmation of that ascension, Tinashe was spotted getting down on MTV’s ‘Fresh Out.’ See her get nasty inside.

Tinashe has been flying the flag for the independent route and is reaping the rewards of that route with her latest single ‘Nasty.’

Indeed, as reported, the track serves as the performer’s first-ever solo song to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 after going all sorts of viral.

Before this chapter of her career, the singer was signed to RCA Records – releasing fan favorites such as ‘2 On’ and ‘All Hands on Deck.’ However, there’s a collective sense that the star didn’t reach her fullest potential during that phase.

Now, in light of her current win, she’s speaking up and out about the imprint’s reaction to her touchdown.

Tinashe is no stranger to seeing her music releases celebrated by fans and critics alike over the years, but – much to their dismay – the award-winning singer-songwriter hasn’t seen much of that fanfare reflected commercially since lifting her breakthrough single ‘2 On‘ to the Hot 100’s top 40 ten years ago.

In fact, before this week that Mustard-produced banger was her only appearance on the all-genre chart as a song leader.

The updated edition of the tally shows a long overdue change has come, however, as her latest viral hit ‘Nasty‘ has made its first appearance.

Tinashe is in a zen space.

So much so that she’s fine to extinguish her fiery feud with Chris Brown.

As reported, the oft-controversial performer poured fuel on the rift with ‘Nashe following remarks she made about their 2015 debut ‘Player’ during a recent interview.

Housed in a corner of the chat that saw the songbird dish on the lack of control she had in her earlier career, the segment was interpreted by some as Tinashe relaying regret for working with Brown.

Suffice it to say, C. Breezy didn’t take well to the comments and lambasted his former collaborator, asking fans to “name 5 Tinashe songs.”

Now, Tinashe – who recently released her new album ‘BB/ANG3L’ – unpacked her response.
