Power-couple, Beyonce and Jay-Z, looked a picture of happiness court-side at the Lakers vs Mavericks game yesterday in Dallas, Texas. 40 year old rapper Jay was in town for his Blueprint 3 tour, which made a stop there. Fun times.

It’s been more than two years since the release of Estelle‘s critically acclaimed LP ‘Shine’ (which spawned the Grammy award winning ‘American Boy’).  The UK-bred/US-based singer is back and set to release new  album ‘All of Me’ later this year. Check out a behind the scenes look at the making of the video for record’s lead single ‘Freak’, which features Kardinal Official (above).

Directed by Nabin Elderkin, the unique clip looks like it’ll be a winner. The full video premieres on Friday. Can’t wait…

Your favourite Bajan model and ours, Rihanna, continues to press ahead with the promotion for her moderately well-selling ‘Rated R’ LP, most recently stopping by AOL Sessions. The 22 year old performed a range of her hits – past and present-  including ‘Take A Bow’, ‘Disturbia’, ‘Russian Roulette’, ‘Hard’, and latest single ‘Rude Boy’. As usual, the billy-goat bleeting was in full-effect, but on an upside she’s giving more ‘umph’ than usual these days, which must count for something, right…?

Check out R&B vixen Teairra Mari and Souja Boy on the set of the video for ‘Sponsor’ – Mari’s hot new single, which the rapper features on. Shot in Los Angeles earlier this week, the vid are sure to get tongues wagging. More than the PR buzz this generates though, I’m hoping the actual song goes on to chart well, as it’s perhaps one of the best uptempo R&B cuts I’ve heard in a long while. Put simply, it is the business!

Monica paid a visit to BET’s ‘106 & Park’ last evening. The singer, who released the video for ‘Everything To Me’ yesterday, spoke about the plot behind the clip as well as why she dedicated it to the late Lee Alexander McQueen. Our own interview with Monica will be up shortly so keep it locked on That Grape Juice!

It’s been a while since we’ve heard from former Danity Kane singer D. Woods. However, the singer recently made a guest appearance on ‘The Mo’Nique Show’ where she performed ‘Legalize Me’ and took part in an interview with the BET host. ‘Legalize Me’ stands as the 1st single from her upcoming ‘The Gray Experience’ LP which will be released later this year.

It’s clear that D. Woods has been keeping her dance game in check because she didn’t miss a step during that performance. It’s great to see that she doesn’t need former Danity Kane choreographer Laurie Anne cracking the whip over her to get her moves in check. The only problem in the performance were her vocals which were noticeably thinner than the last time we heard her sing. Either way, it was still good to see D. Woods doing her thing. Yawn. Pretty standard-fare for the Pop chart-stormer. Oh well, I guess I’ve heard worse.

Update: Our interview with Ke$ha has been delayed until mid-late April (confirmed). Granted it sucks when ish like this happens, it’s one of those things that come with the territory. Annoying, but what one do…

Wow! I really enjoyed the cinematic /narrative-driven clip. Directed by Benny Boom, the video is perhaps Monica’s best to date; Ms. Arnold looks stunning and the storyline has a great twist at the end. It’s always refreshing when at artist hits you with a concept you wouldn’t have expected. Great video!

Tidbit: That Grape Juice had an awesome interview with Monica herself last night. Look out for it tomorrow!

As our UK readers will know, there have been strong murmurings about Cheryl Cole calling time on her marriage to footballer Ashley Cole, after his infidelities became headline news two weeks ago. Today, the Pop star’s publicist released the following statement confirming that the power couple are indeed splitting:

“Cheryl Cole is separating from her husband Ashley Cole. Cheryl asks the media to respect her privacy during this difficult time. We have no further comment to make.”

Granted the fact the news comes as little surprise, the whole situation is rather unfortunate. Sigh…

Tidbit: Despite her questionable talent, the name ‘Cheryl Cole’ had a ring. It’ll be interesting to see if she’ll revert back to her maiden name ‘Tweedy’ for her music career. ‘Cheryl Tweedy’….hmmm.
