Though I still think there are more eligible single tracks on Mary’s ‘Growing Pains’ album, I’m starting to gravitate toward ‘Hurt Again’ more after seeing this performance. Good stuff.

In what comes as unsurprisingly surprising news (if that makes any sense), Nicole Scherzinger’s serially delayed solo debut ‘Her Name Is Nicole’ has been pushed back to June 23rd (UK). Is there a point anymore? For real, by then it will be almost a year since the album was originally supposed to drop. You’d think the album was the hotness with the way it’s still being pushed to the public. The reaction to those dreadful singles she released should serve as an indicator that not many are feeling what she has to offer as a solo artist. I say, throw in the towel (at least she tried lol) and call it a day. The Pussycat Dolls have a winning formula – she should stick with that.Danity Kane performed their new single ‘Damaged’ at Spotlight on Bad Boy RnB Night this Tuesday (January 28th). I’m really on the fence about this single and Danity Kane altoghether this time around. ‘Damaged’ IMO just isn’t (lead) single material, and with the heat they packed on that first album, I definitely expected better. Saying that, the girls definitely are working with something and their growth, in terms of stage presence, really shows in this performance. Time will tell if the album delivers the goods. (Tidbit: Is it me or is that Shannon actually singing at the start?!).
The girls recently stopped by Miss Jones’ Hot 97 radio show and had a lot to say about a certain Keyshia Cole. I won’t spoil it, but I’m sure this one is sure to raise a few eyebrows. Check it out:

It has been announced that Alicia Keys will be performing at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards on February 10th. Keys joins an already stellar line-up of performers which includes Beyonce, Rihanna, and Janet Jackson (unconfirmed).
Rihanna continues to up her endorsement game by becoming featuring in the now-iconic ‘Got Milk’ campaign. Can’t hate on her hustle…or that of her label’s.Lil’ Mama is back in more ways than one with the video for her latest single ‘Shawty Get Loose’ (ft. Chris Brown & T-Pain). The video for the single, her third from forthcoming album ‘The Voice Of The Young People’, is probably one of the best videos released so far this year. An innovative concept as well as impressive choreography make for this to be a great vid. It’s shame the song doesn’t quite measure up. Still, I really like what Lil’ Mama is bringing to the industry; she kinda reminds me of a young Missy, Left Eye and Ciara rolled into one.

Check out these new promotional pics for pop star Janet Jackson’s new album ‘Discipline’ (due February 26th). Granted Photoshop was obviously enlisted, Janet looks great. For a split second I didn’t know if these pics were from the ‘janet’ album days. At 41, Ms. Jackson is giving the young ones a run for their money.
This promotional pic for Kanye West’s forthcoming ‘Glow In The Dark’ US tour was recently posted on his official blog. Though no dates were given, the pic reveals the supporting line-up, which certainly leads one to believe this will be one unmissable show. Rihanna, N.E.R.D and Lupe Fiasco have all been tapped to join the rapper on the nationwide trek. Dates should follow shortly.The US version of the video for Leona Lewis’ single ‘Bleeding Love’ debuted today on Yahoo Music. Director Jesse Terrero shot the video in New York City back in December last year. Although Leona is looking on-point in the clip, I must say that I prefer the original video , it had more everything – from the concept to the performance to capturing the essence of the song. Still, I’m sure poised for much success in the States. ‘Spirit’, Leona’s multi-Platinum debut album, is set to hit stores in the US on April 8th.

The guys from Making The Band 4 – still without a name – stopped by MTV’s TRL in Times Square, New York yesterday. There to promote the new season of the hit show – which began in Monday, member Mike was notably absent. Hmmm…Your thoughts?
