The Weeknd is wasting no time traveling the promo trail in support of his January 31-released album ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow.‘

Coming as the final chapter of a trilogy of LPs led by 2020’s ‘After Hours‘ and 2022’s ‘Dawn FM,’ the new LP is a 22-song set that arrived to digital shelves Friday at midnight on the wings of warmly received singles ‘Timeless,’ ‘Sao Paolo,’ and ‘Open Hearts.’

The latter got its first taste of televised performance treatment when the Canadian hitmaker (born Abel Tesfaye) took to ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live‘ on Thursday (January 30) to act as the night’s musical guest.

“We Gon’ Stay Together Baby / We Get Better With Time / Nothin’s Ever Good, Nothin’s Ever Easy / But You’re Alway There/ CAUSE YOU ALWAYS LOVE ME / I’LL ALWAYS LOVE YOU TOO,” she sings over Rex Rideout production.

Weeks after sending fans into a frenzy with a cryptic message that led many to believe he would be starring in the next ‘Matrix‘ installment, actor-rapper Will Smith has revealed the true inspiration behind the Instagram post was the concept behind his new music video.

Titled ‘Beautiful Scars,’ the clip sees him star as a character fashioned after the film franchise’s beloved “Neo” (a role he famously turned down over 20 years ago).

“It’s the beautiful scars, yeah / It’s the beautiful flaws, yeah / I done fell about a million times (Yeah, woah) / Now I rise up again closer to God (Woah),” raps Will on the Omarr-produced chorus.

Bummed Tyga fans who were expecting his new album ‘NSFW‘ to land on digital shelves Friday (January 31) got a consolation prize when the GRAMMY nominee unveiled a new single from the project: the Lil Wayne-assisted ‘Pop It Off.’

Reuniting Tyga with his former Young Money label head, the cut comes as the umpteenth collaboration between the Hip-Hop hitmaker following 2010’s ‘Loyalty‘ and ‘I’m on It‘ all the way to the more recently released ‘Brand New’ in 2023.

“Uh, b-tch give me top, then she wipe it off / Like a rocket, they gon’ pop it off / Two college girls, they gon’ pop it off (Yeah) / Had a threesome, you was not involved,” Ty raps over Pliznaya production.
