Coi Leray‘s ‘Players’ has easily become of the year’s top smashes.

Having already jetted to the highest rung she’s reached on Pop charts to date (as we reported here), the Grandmaster Flash and The Furious Five-sampling song’s domination of radio has also helped it soar to the top 10 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs’ chart and #1 on Rhythmic Radio listings.

In an effort to see that success mirrored on Billboard’s leading charts, Leray’s tapped 2-time Grammy Award-winning, superstar DJ David Guetta to revamp the tune for EDM audiences courtesy of its latest reissue (following the already popularized ‘DJ Smallz 732-Jersey Club’ and ‘DJ Saige’ remixes).

Will the Guetta stamp be just what the doctor ordered to make ‘Players’ the inaugural Hot 100 hit of Coi’s career? Hop inside to listen and tell us.

The Canadian titan thrilled fans last week when he announced the ‘It Was All A Blur Tour’ – the name of which captures the sentiment of how he feels about his seismic career thus far.

Already a mammoth trek, the MC has expanded the North American leg of the tour – which sees him hit the road with his ‘Her Loss’ collaborator 21 Savage.

Xscape are renowned for delivering high notes and high tension. Especially when operating in the reality TV space.

The iconic ensemble are making headlines on a weekly basis in light of the drama playing out on their Bravo series ‘SWV & Xscape: The Queens of R&B.’

Already proving to be addictive viewing, the show spotlights the iconic groups as they prepare for an epic joint show comprised of their biggest hits

Beyond celebrating the music that has been the soundtrack to so many lives, the core of the chaos thus far has been Xscape’s internal issues and bubbling beef with SWV over whether their concert will be jointly billed or headlined by the ‘Who Can I Run To’ belters.

On episode 4 (which airs this coming Sunday), folk will see Kandi Burruss erupt over LaTocha Scott‘s growing absence and SWV’s insistence on ascertaining the lineup order.

Xscape are making all sorts of headlines of late thanks to their drama-drenched reality series with SWV.

But make no mistake, the group’s pedigree and premium emanate from their stellar music catalog.

This week From The Vault toasts one of the quartet’s most revered anthems – ‘Who Can I Run To.’

Housed on the ladies’ sophomore album ‘Off The Hook,’ the track was released in 1995 as the LP’s second single.

Historically, members Kandi Burruss and LaTocha Scott tagged-teamed as the group’s lead vocalists. Yet, with this stunning cover of The Jones Girls’ 1979 hit of the same name, Tamika Scott took center stage with powerful finesse.

For many, the magic of the track exists within both its frank lyrical narrative and astute vocal delivery. This potent pairing helped lift the release to #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs tally.

Its simple yet effective video, which sees the ensemble performing the song in Club So So Def, also serves as one of the most memorable offerings from the mid-90s R&B scene.

As the compelling storylines play out on ‘SWV & Xscape,’ here’s hoping the magic of this oft-underrated group is celebrated in equal measure.
