This week’s That Grape Juice Cover Star is Juliet Hudson. The London-based singer serves up a rousing redition of Jazmine Sullivan’s‘ Urban smash ‘Holding You Down’.

Great performance. While lacking the grit and, perhaps, soulfulness that defines Sullivans voice, Hudson’s version -for us-is still a home-run. With her more Pop/Mainstream vocals, she delivered with this a fresh take on a solid song. Good stuff.

Jennifer Lopez visited ‘The Breakfast Club’ on Power 105.1 recently. Amidst candid discussions with the show’s hosts about her judging position on ‘American Idol’ and her upcoming album, ‘Love?’, the entertainer revealed the real reason why she left Sony Music Entertainment and signed with rival label Island Def Jam in 2010.
