An all-new ‘House Party’ is heading to the big screen.

Originally scheduled for a streaming debut, the revival of the classic 1990 film (which launched the careers of many a notable name – like Kid & Play) has moved to a theatrical release format.

Led by Jacob Latimore and Tosin Cole, the movie follows the down-on-their-luck house cleaners who discover they’re assigned to clean the mansion of LeBron James while he’s overseas.

In a bid to up their viva and make more money along the way, the duo decides to throw the ultimate party. Naturally, drama abounds and one of LeBron’s championship rings goes missing. What plays out is a wild night and an unforgettable night.

With a new January 13, 2023 premiere date set, check out the first-look trailer for ‘House Party’ (which features cameos from the likes of LeBron, Lena Waithe, Kid Cudi, and Tinashe) after the jump… (more…)

Readers of That Grape Juice know how passionate we are about music – whether that be past or present.

However, unlike our other segments – Retro Rewind, TGJ Replay, and From The Vault – The Pop Stop is the most in-depth look at Pop songs that may have flown under the radar over the last week that you should know, rather they be from music’s biggest stars or those on the rise.

This week, we want to highlight cuts from Blink-182, Louis Tomlinson, Tove Lo, and Jordy.

Nearly 3 years ago Nicki Minaj joined a chorus of hitmakers who called out The Recording Academy for snubbing The Weeknd‘s 2020 album, ‘After Hours,’ when it was reported the blockbuster project didn’t get any nominations for the GRAMMYs’ 2021 ceremony.

Minaj is no stranger to being overlooked by the voting committee as she – despite being attached to some of the biggest Hip-Hop hits over the last 12 years – has only been nominated 10 times and boasts no wins (as of the time of this report).

The remedy to that seemed poised to finally come thanks to the commercial and critical response to ‘Super Freaky Girl’ – her first solo Hot 100 chart-topper and one of the biggest songs of 2022. Yet, once again, the diva has found herself at odds with the Academy’s voting committee after it was announced Thursday (October 13) the Rap song would not be considered in any Rap categories.

And while the Rap Queen’s discussion on the matter may have turned into a controversial royal rumble (as we reported here), her initial grievance should not be disregarded:  ‘Super Freaky Girl’ does NOT belong in GRAMMY Pop categories.

Look inside for That Grape Juice‘s top 6 reasons why.

The visit to ‘Hot Ones’ comes on the promotional trail for Davis’ #1 box office hit ‘The Woman King.’

Latto just poured fuel on the flames of her fiery feud with Nicki Minaj.

As reported, the femcees have been locked in a public spat after Minaj bemoaned her placement in the Pop category of GRAMMY nomination consideration with ‘Super Freaky Girl’ while the rising rapper’s smash ‘Big Energy’ was allowed to remain in the Rap pool.

Insults have flown aplenty, with many of the jabs veering beyond the professional onto personal terrain.

Now, Latto has lit a fresh match but sharing audio from a call between her and Onika – in which she stresses: “you’re subtweeting me for no reason.” A war of words that was, private until now, ensued.

Nicki Minaj and Latto have been at loggerheads for hours on social media and the flames have intensified with fresh discourse on the topic of…rapists.

As reported, a fiery war of words ignited online between the femcees after Minaj bemoaned her song ‘Super Freaky Girl’ being shifted to the Pop category pool for GRAMMY nomination consideration – while highlighting that Latto’s ‘Big Energy’ is being allowed to remain in the Rap sphere.

More jabs have been thrown than a Mike Tyson fight, with the ladies branding each other “Scratch Off,’ “Super Freaky Grandma,” and more.

Now, “rapist” claims are being thrown – with Dr. Luke (who produced both tracks) being roped into the melee as well as Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty and brother Jelani Maraj.

It’s notable in light of the sexual assault convictions held by Petty and Jelani and the well-documented (and ongoing) legal drama hitmaker Luke is embroiled in with Kesha.

Buzz around Chris Brown‘s latest album, the June-released ‘Breezy,’ may have come and gone, but the singer’s dedicated fans (affectionately called #TeamBreezy) are still keeping other tunes from his jam-packed discography front-and-center on social media and music charts.

Three years after the ‘Indigo’ track ‘Under the Influence’ first landed on digital outlets, the Kiddominant-produced bop began dominating Tik Tok reels – a feat that helped it fly up global and domestic Apple Music sales charts and eventually reach the top 30 of the Billboard Hot 100.

In a bid to push it even higher on the latter tally, Brown has unveiled a sneak peek at the song’s long-awaited forthcoming music video.

The social media smackdown between Nicki Minaj and Latto continues hours after its kick off Thursday night (October 13).

As we reported here, the virtual fisticuffs began when the former took to Twitter to vent about her #1 hit, the Rick James-sampling Rap song ‘Super Freaky Girl,’ being moved to Pop categories in the GRAMMYs’ initial voting process for its 2023 ceremony.

After suggesting that Latto‘s breakout hit, ‘Big Energy,’ be given the same treatment by the Recording Academy, the two engaged in a fiery exchange that led to the rising rapstress refer to Nicki as an old bully.

The 39-year-old didn’t let the ageist quip go so easily, however.  Look inside to see how she clapped back.

It’s giving…girlfight!

After Nicki Minaj revealed she felt some kinda way about her inaugural Hot 100 #1 hit, ‘Super Freaky Girl,’ being booted from Rap to Pop categories in the 2023 GRAMMYs’ initial voting process, as revealed Thursday (October 13), she also suggested Latto‘s similarly styled smash – ‘Big Energy’ – be given the same energy from the Recording Academy.

And while the slick diss wasn’t given much attention at the time of its first post, Latto came in guns blazing after Minaj – her former idol – suggested the self-proclaimed ‘Queen of Da Souf’ should’ve made more of a royal fuss when ‘Super’ was given the Pop treatment.

What ensued afterward was a Twitter smackdown between the Rap divas. See it inside.
