For years Safaree Samuels was presented to the world as Nicki Minaj‘s best friend.

Alas, after serving as one half of the brains behind her multi-million dollar operation, Samuels decision to part ways with the rapper (who was actually his girlfriend) saw him find an enemy in the entertainer, her fans (once his own) and her new boyfriend Meek Mill.

Today, Minaj has taken to Twitter to expose what she believes are unscrupulous efforts he has made to derail her career, relationship, reputation…and pockets.

With just a month away from the release of his sophomore solo album ‘Last Year Was Complicated,’ you can expect to see much of hitmaking heartthrob Nick Jonas on your screen and newsstands in the coming weeks.

After lending an electrifying performance his latest hit ‘Close’ to ‘Ellen’ this week, fans can now find the ‘Jealous’ crooner taking to the LGBT-publication OUT magazine where he serves as the June/July 2016 coverboy.

Dishing on everything from his new music, love life, and more, Jonas also hits back at critics who claim he’s ‘gay-baiting,’ or intentionally pandering to the LGBT-audience, by taking on several gay roles on television.

Is Jonas an opportunist or simply misunderstood?  Read his response below:

Not even a month after his controversial spat with legendary rap group N.W.A. over their inclusion in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s 2016 class of inductees, KISS member Gene Simmons has now ruffled the feathers of fans of another legendary act:  Prince.

The late singer, whose sudden and mysterious death in April continues to dominate headlines, has earned many a tribute from fellow celebs and admirers alike.  However, much to the anger of the ‘Purple One’s beloved fan group, the recent stinging comments the aging rocker don’t exactly fall in the category of admiration.

Indeed, despite the absence of an official report on what caused the ‘Purple Rain’ maestro’s demise, Simmons seems sure it was related to drugs and alcohol.  See his damning words below:

Lauryn Hill‘s chronic lateness saw her hit headlines over the weekend after Atlanta concert-goers booed for turning up over 2 hours after the start time of her concert.

When the news hit social media, the story took on a life of its own – so much so that the former Fugees front-woman was forced to make a statement. Therein she promised to make it up to fans, apologised, but oddly blamed her tardiness on her “energy” needing to be right and how it doesn’t always align with show times.

That didn’t wash with many, including Roots drummer Questlove.

One-Republic

One Republic is back…and arguably better than ever.

Still riding high on the wave that is the Jeff Bhasker-backed LP ‘Native’, the Pop Rock band are gearing up to return to Pop’s courts to welcome their new single to the world.

Its title? ‘Wherever I Go.’

Its premise? Frontman Ryan Tedder explains:

It’s very much about obsession, and almost an unnatural, unhealthy level of obsession. It doesn’t personify the entire album and I think it’s going to really surprise people, the other thing i’ll say that’s rather important is that we spent ages making sure that it was actually live.’

A lot of what intrigues me the most is some of the weirder stuff so like Sigur Ros and Miike Snow – I mean when you hear it you’ll definitely hear some of that kind of – I’ve been a long time fan of Miike Snow, so you’ll probably hear a little hint of that kind of melody.

For almost two years, rumors have run rampant that music’s first couple Beyonce and Jay Z are gearing up to release a joint album.

Speculation cranked into overdrive following the pair’s ‘On The Run’ stadium tour, with numerous sources close to the situation going to press touting the existence of the project.

Now, following the release Bey’s ‘Lemonade’ album (which hinted heavily at infidelity in her marriage), the world’s eyes are on the couple. And, if a new report proves true, their ears may be too.
