Just a year ago we reported iconic female groups SWV, En Vogue, and Salt-N-Pepa were joining forces for a Stateside tour and would document the preparation for the jaunt for a BET reality show called, ‘Ladies Night.’

A reportedly 10-episode outing, the venture – moving forward in the absence of the Funky Divas – is set for an April 30th premiere.

Toni Braxton is re-teaming with Lifetime after delivering record ratings with her 2016 biopic ‘Unbreak My Heart.’

And this time, she’s also appearing in front of the camera in new movie ‘Faith Under Fire.’

As reported, the butter-smooth contralto swaps the mic for tense drama in the film adaptation of the book ‘Prepared for a Purpose: An Inspiring True Story of Faith, Courage and Compassion in Crisis’ by Tuff and Alex Tresniowski.

The 50-year-old stars as Antoinette Tuff, a struggling single mom from Georgia who is hailed as a hero for convincing a crazed gunman intent on causing chaos at an elementary school to stand down.

‘Faith Under Fire,’ which Braxton is also exec producing, relays the moments that led to his surrender and the integral role Antoinette played.

After Lifetime hit a ratings high note with its Angela Bassett-directed biographical film that chronicled the tumultuous relationship of her superstar parents Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown (click here to read more about that), TV One is looking to follow suit by unveiling an in-depth look at the life of Bobbi Kristina.

Simply titled ‘Bobbi Kristina,’ the made-for-TV flick will reportedly lend an “intimate look at the highs and lows of parental, familial and romantic love complicated by fame through the eyes of a sensitive, vulnerable young woman.”
