As to keep the song’s buzz as high as possible this month, tonight saw Mariah Carey & Miguel release a ‘Spanglish’ remix to their collaborative hit ‘Beautiful‘.

Unfortunately, they could have really done without it.

For, in what really is an insult to the original cut, it’s far too easy to hear where Spanish lyrics have been copied and pasted onto the original audio- making for an uncomfortably cheap listen.

Fresh from channelling her best Rihanna on Jimmy Kimmel last night, Miley Cyrus kept her promo game a’rolling today on Good Morning America.

The 20-year-old continued her “Urban” re-incarnation, serving up live renditions of current smash ‘We Can’t Stop’ and the will.i.am assisted ‘Fall Down’.

Multitalented songbird Michelle Williams has been the topic of much chatter since the release of her newest tune ‘If We Had Your Eyes’ yesterday.

Debuting to overwhelming critical acclaim, the Destiny’s Child graduate is keeping buzz afloat for its forthcoming, yet titled parent album by hosting a live Ustream session (which wrapped moments ago).

Answering a bevy of fan questions, Williams lent her opinion on her criminally underrated ‘Unexpected’ era, future television endeavors (including BET red carpet hosting gig), gave dibs on her new album, and shared two banging new tunes.

Jay-Z rocked the music world this week with the announcement of new album ‘Magna Carta Holy Grail’.

Hailing the arrival of “new rules”, the Roc Nation mogul underlined his point by confirming that the project will be launched in partnership with Samsung, who give 1 million copies of the LP away to users of Galaxy S III, Galaxy S 4, and Note II on July 4th by way of a specially created app (which will be available to download earlier on June 24th). Thereafter, the project will receieve a traditional release on July 7th.

Many would agree that the out-of-the-box campaign is, in many ways, as innovative as it perceives itself to be. Yet, for all the Hov hoopla, one question became a constant once the dust had settled: will the million units count towards Mr Carter’s first week sales on the Billboard 200?

Kanye West has had quite the week!

Indeed, just days after the birth of his first child with talent devoid diva Kim Kardashian, the hitmaker saw another of his creations projected to top Billboard charts!

With ‘Yeezus’ set to see its name atop the Billboard 200 upon its refreshing next week, the happy couple have revealed the name set to be atop the birth certificate of their newborn daughter.  See baby Kimye’s real name below:

He doesn’t get enough credit for it, but Trey Songz is one of the few R&B entertainers who can be sure to pull in decent numbers come release week.

While not enough is mould the hype behind those numbers into a Gold plaque, the charismatic performer is far more impressive on a sonic and commercial tip than most would say he is.

Only right then, that he turns up the heat on his forthcoming album with an interview which saw him discuss the possibility of a duet with ‘Should Be You’ singer Ne-Yo.
