Multiplatinum singer, actress, and Written Entertainment CEO Ashanti is writing the next chapter of her career and – if she has her way – it will look better than it ever has.

Heavy in the process of re-recording her eponymous debut album (which celebrated its 20th anniversary in April), the 41-year-old continues to celebrate owning the masters to the LP which will likely see its release preceded by new music.

Taking to Billboard recently, Ashanti outlined her plans for the rest of the year and, much to the delight of her dedicated fans, she’ll be booked and busy with projects in and outside of the music realm.

After a deliciously scandalous end to its critically acclaimed inaugural season, Tyler Perry‘s juicy drama ‘All the Queen’s Men’ is back to deliver an even more action-packed follow-up via its highly anticipated season 2.

Returning to BET+ on July 14, the Eva Marcille-led series sees her reprise the role of “Marilyn ‘Madam’ Deville” – a “fierce businesswoman who is at the top of her game in the nightclub industry and surrounded by a band of trusted employees who are down to make sure that she is successful.”

Haunted by the trauma of her past while trying to navigate the dangerous society of a male-dominated field, Marcille’s character – supported by fellow stars Christian Keyes, Skyh Alvester Black, Candace Maxwell, Michael “Bolo’ Bolwaire, Keith Swift Jr., Racquel Palmer, Dion Rome, and Jeremy “Masterpiece” Williams – could see her life and business in its worst danger yet in the new season.

How will she fare?  Find out with a sneak peek at the official trailer inside.
