‘Sweetest Pie’ sisters Dua Lipa and Megan Thee Stallion turned heads with a playful rift at Sunday night’s GRAMMYs (April 3) as they squabbled over a “mishap” of wearing the same “exclusive” Versace dress.

When the comical quarrel was settled by the outfits’ designer, Donatella Versace, longtime music fans were immediately reminded of a similar diva dispute between Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey that occurred nearly 25 years prior at the MTV VMAs.

City Girls stunned their dedicated fans (affectionately called #Citizens) last week with surprise news that their new single, the Fivio Foreign-assisted ‘Top Notch,’ would be making its way to digital shelves Friday (April 1).

No April Fools’ joke, the duo delivered in a big way courtesy of a Ben Marc-directed video that saw the Southern belles take their talents to the streets of New York City.

As the tune and its accompanying clip continue to welcome warm reception, the Girls are spinning the promo wheel in its support.

Despite the combined forces of BTS, Justin Bieber, Silk Sonic, Olivia Rodrigo, Lil Nas X, and Billie Eilish on its performance roster, they – alongside the other chart-toppers who took to the stage – weren’t enough to Sunday’s GRAMMYs from failing to attract viewers (April 3).

Although early Nielsen ratings reports don’t indicate the lowest tune-in the Trevor Noah-hosted affair has ever courted, it was pretty darn close.

By many-a-critic’s standard, ‘Industry Baby’ performer Lil Nas X and Justin Bieber were considered frontrunners for GRAMMY wins at the 2022 ceremony based on the commercial and critical reception of their respective 2021 albums – ‘Montero’ and ‘Justice.’

Yet, despite delivering two of the night’s most talked about performances (as we reported here), the showings would later prove to be the only time they graced the stage as both left the event empty-handed.
