All roads lead to this Friday (March 25) for Latto.

For, the femcee will unlock her long-awaited sophomore album ‘777’ on said date and she’s pounding the promotional pavement in ahead of its arrival.

Chatting with Charlamagne Tha God, Angela Yee, and DJ Envy, the rapper dished on the LP, the ‘Big Energy’ remix, and navigating the music industry.

One of the most notable moments came when Latto addressed the hoopla surrounding the male collaborator she says gave her issues over not responding to a DM.

It’s been nearly 6 months since Latto unveiled ‘Big Energy,’ but the Dr. Luke-produced bop is still making BIG moves on the Billboard Hot 100.

Just 5 days after the tune had become the third single of her career certified Gold or higher by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for sales of 500,000 copies in the United States, Latto (born Alyssa Stephens) learned ‘Big’ has cracked the Hot 100’s top 20 for the first time.

Planted at #17 on the tally’s refreshed edition, it becomes the first time she’s seen her name printed in the chart territory as a leading act.

As she celebrates the milestone, look inside to see who joins her on this week’s TGJ Chart Check.

It looks like Latto‘s hit the jackpot with her new single, ‘Big Energy,’ and this week’s winning numbers are 38.

The Dr. Luke-produced bop, which prominently samples Tom Tom Club‘s 80’s hit ‘Genius of Love’ (also found aboard Mariah Carey‘s timeless classic ‘Fantasy’), was already a standout in the rapper’s growing discography when it entered the Hot 100 as her highest debut yet (as we reported here).

Reaching an even higher Hot 100 height this week, ‘Big’ made a big splash in the chart’s top 40 – not only marking her highest placement to date (at #38) but also the first time Latto’s seen her name printed in the hit list’s upper half.
