Ciara - 'Go Girl (ft. T-Pain)' As reported earlier, Ciara’s much anticipated new single ‘Go Girl’, the first to be lifted from her third LP – ‘Fantasy Ride’ was set to debut this week. Indeed, the track went on to surfaced just a few hours ago.
Though the song, which features T-Pain, is a solid mid-tempo cut (with that ‘knock)’, I must say I’m somewhat underwhelmed by this. With the high-octane/’Crunk to the next power’ nature of the album’s previously announced first single ‘High Price’, I was expecting big things from ‘Go Girl’, yet it doesn’t really deliver. By no means a poor effort, just simply not first single material. Here’s hoping the album packs more of a punch than this…

Ciara - 'Walk On It'
*Confirmed as not Ciara*

Peep this new Ciara track titled ‘Walk On It’, which is slated to feature on her hotly anticipated 3rd outing ‘Fantasy Ride’.

I’m really feeling the production on this one, however the vocal delivery is kinda hit and miss IMO. The chorus and sparse hooks, though repetitive, are the song’s saving graces. Could be a grower.

Ciara - 'High Price' (Full)Having posted a snippet of Ciara’s brand new single ‘High Price’ a few months, the full version (well kinda) of the track has surfaced and it’s a banger. Initially somewhat pessimistic about Ciara’s choice of vocal delivery on the cut, I’m really feeling the track after hearing it in its entirety – the vocals, the gritty production, Ludacris’ 32 bars, everything! ‘High Price’ is the first track to be lifted off the 22 year old’s forthcoming three disc LP ‘Fantasy Ride’.

Ciara - 'Supernatural'Some of you may remember that a snippet of this new Ciara track ‘Supernatural’ was posted back in April. The full version of the sensually smooth R&B cut, said to be the first single from her three-disc LP ‘Fantasy Ride’ has recently surfaced. Though I’m liking the track a little more after hearing it in its entirety, I still think it should be no more than album cut. If it’s a slower single she’s looking for, I’m hoping she channels something along the lines of ‘Promise’ or ‘So Hard’ from her last record..

Ciara - 'Click' Ciara’s contribution to the ‘Sex & The City’ soundtrack, a track titled ‘Click’, has surfaced. Written by Rico Love and produced by Salaam Remi, the whimsical cut is a solid effort. My only gripe is that the song sounds near identical to Fergie’s hit ‘Glamorous’ – to the point where it’s unavoidably obvious. I had to double check that it wasn’t that song’s producer Polow Da Don recycling beats again (lol). Still, a pretty good track all the same.

Nelly - 'Stepped On My J's' (ft. JD & Ciara) With the release of Nelly’s ‘Brass Knuckles’ fast approaching, a new cut from the set has surfaced. ‘Stepped On My J’s’, which features Jermaine Dupri and R&B star Ciara, sees the St. Louis native re-embrace the gritty, yet radio friendly sound that made his debut so great. I must say, I’m really liking this one. ‘Brass Knuckles’ hits stores June 24th.

Ciara - 'High Price' (ft. Ludacris) (Snippet)A snippet of ‘High Price’ (ft. Ludacris), the first single to be released from Ciara’s 3rd studio album ‘Fantasy Ride’ (tentatively slated for a September release) has surfaced. I’ll reserve my judgement until I hear the track in its entirety. I know that I’m definitely on the fence about the ‘voice’ she’s singing in.

Ciara - 'Supernatural' (Snippet) With R&B star Ciara hard at work on her third studio album tentatively titled ‘Fantasy Ride’, a snippet of one of the supposedly featured track has surfaced. Though the smooth mid-tempo ‘Supernatural’ isn’t a bad effort, it certainly leaves a lot to be desired. It’ll be interesting to see what the album, due out in the Autumn, will have on offer – material better than this I should hope.

Janet Jackson - 'Feedback' (Remix) (ft. JD, Ciara, Fabolous & Busta Rhymes) Check out this newly christened Official remix of Janet’s ‘Feedback’. This version features verses from Jermaine Dupri, Busta Rhymes, Ciara and Fabolous. It’s nearing four months since the debut of the original and I still have it in heavy rotation. This remix is pretty solid too.

Though it seems Ciara has wrapped up the promotion for her most recent project ‘The Evolution’, she isn’t heading out of the limelight just yet. The ‘Goodies’ singer laid down new vocals for a remix to Janet’s ‘Feedback’, as well as Missy Elliott’s ‘Ching-A-Ling’.
Despite Janet not recording new vocals for this (possibly official) remix, Ciara has injected a new life into this already-storming track. Often likened to Janet, Ciara’s voice, delivery, everything fits the song really well. With all the comparisons and whatnot, would I be alone in thinking a live performance of this remix would be unmissable?
As with the ‘Feedback’ remix, it’s Ciara’s delivery that stands out on Missy’s ‘Ching-A-Ling’ remix – which also features Jay-Z. It’s well-known C’s vocal prowess leaves a lot to be desired, but her swagger on this can’t be denied IMO.
These kinda have me thirsty for what she’ll be serving up on her new album, which she is reportedly working on now.

Ciara – Like A Boy (Remix) (ft. Trey Songz)

I’m really liking this remix. Ciara’s vocals are basically the same as the original version, however Trey Songz raps and sings about the song’s topic from a male perspective. I’ve always felt ‘Like A Boy’ was one of the better tracks on Ciara’s ‘Evolution’ album. I’m not sure if this is an official remix, either way Trey Songz is really getting himself out there in preparation for his own upcoming album ‘Trey Day’ – due May 8th.

Fabolous – First Time (ft. Rihanna)

This one has been floating around the net for a while; it’s yet another Fabolous collaboration (he should just put out a collaboration album already). ‘First Time’ is scheduled to be one the singles from his new album ‘From Nothing To Something’ (due June 12th). I’m kinda feeling the track; the beat knocks and Rihanna does her thing singing the hook.

Usher – Oooh Shawty (ft. Sean Paul of Youngbloodz) (Remix)

As Usher preps his new album ‘The Masterpiece’ (due for a November release), this remix version of one of the earlier leaked tracks has hit the net. Produced by DJ Unique, the ‘Oooh Shawty’ remix is hot; I’m actually liking it a lot more than the original. The beat is on-point, it’s definitely a banger. I’m anxious to see what Usher comes with on this new album, as I don’t think he can top ‘Confessions’ in sales or quality. You never know, though.

Ciara – Do It

This unreleased track was featured as a bonus on the European version of Ciara’s sophomore CD, ‘The Evolution’. ‘Do It’, which was produced by Will i Am (of the Black Eyed Peas), is the type of up-tempo song you would expect from Ciara. While it’s decent, it sounds like something that would fit in better on her first album ‘Goodies’.

Ali & Gipp – Almost Made Ya (ft. LeToya)

Some of you may recognise Ali from Nelly’s group ‘St Lunatics’; he still is a member of the group, however he’s doing his own thing at the moment with Gipp from Goodie Mob. Jermaine Dupri produced the track and it samples Brandy’s ‘Almost Doesn’t Count’. I’m really liking this one alot. Lyrically, the song is engaging (2.31: ‘it ain’t yours!’) and LeToya delivers on the hook.

T.I – Big Sh*t Poppin’

This is scheduled to be the lead single from T.I’s upcoming album ‘T.I vs T.I.P’ (due July 3rd). As with the 1st singles from his last few albums, ‘Big Sh*t Poppin’ doesn’t dissappoint. The Mannie Fresh produced track is a banger; it’s bass-heavy. T.I’s flow is on-point too.

Trey Songz – Fly Together (ft. Jim Jones)

As I said before, I’m really liking Trey’s new material; it’s like he’s done a complete U-turn from the music he was making on his last album. This new song, which features Jim Jones, is pretty good. Eric Hudson, who produced Omarion’s ‘Entourage’, also produced this.
