Released March 25, the Fivio Foreign-assisted track comes as her fourth drop in less than two months and followed the warmly received tunes ‘Do We Have a Problem,’ ‘Bussin,’ and ‘Blick Blick.’
Accompanied to Hot 100 success by some history-making measure (i.e. ‘Problem’ made Nicki the first female rapper to have 20 top 10 hits, ‘Blick’ made her the second female artist to have at least 65 top 40 hits, and more), the bops – reportedly set to line the GRAMMY nominee’s forthcoming fifth studio album – set the tone for ‘We Go Up’ to go and do the same.

Despite the sometimes negative comparisons, Bailey – as she’s putting the finishing touches on her forthcoming solo debut album – recently made headlines for confirming she’s eyeing a collaboration with the former Fifth Harmony star.

‘Industry Baby’ may have birthed Lil Nas X‘s third run atop the Hot 100 last October, but the Kanye West-produced bop remains a commercial force thanks to a continued push on the promotional front.
Just days ahead of the sales boost it’s enjoying this week thanks to a high octane presentation at the 64th annual GRAMMY Awards (as we reported here), the song had already been pushed up the certification ladder at the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
